 Bye,

Cool! I like the grungy cyberpunk atmosphere. The layers of smog, rain, lightning, (screen dirt and reflections...?) gel quite nicely. But I feel like the sprites should pop more, e.g., bright point light sources, spotlights, explosions etc. I think you have a great moody base, but need more contrast - like the highlights you see on your own ship when shooting. Right now it's kind of like Blade Runner without the neon and lights to play off the smog and rain...

Thanx for the Feedback! I'm still working on the Sprites but since I'm happy with the overall moode I focus more on the technical side of how i do the hole gamestructure atm. Ligths on Explosions its a little bit problematic since i use the free Unity Version for now i cant use the deffered Render witch wouldt be perfect here. Need to do some Researche here how i get good performance with MANY Lights at the same Time. I shouldt defenitly look into pooling my Objects instead of creating/destroying them at runtime - later :-D

cheers

Besides that, no, no real reflections are used in the scene just layers I blend in/out when switching the light/lightning stuff. I had scetched out my Idea in Photoshop an than started to recreate the visual style with different Layers in the Scene.

I cant use Pointlights because of that, my Scene got so much Z depth that a Pointlight overbrigthness all or nothing, so it doesnt do the trick. I tried Spotlights with Cookies and still have them on the Enemy Explosions but the cookies sometimes are kinda ignored and then the hole scene becomes overbrigthned again. May have something to do that I  shouldn't put that spotlights in my Prefabs and handle them from a Pool inside the scene, dont know. I just started working with unity like 2 weeks ago and there is still a lot of "voodooknowledge" to catch up with ;-)

And sorry for my missspellings - not my first lenguage

Pretty cool!

I like the mood and the music, it feels very retro and takes me back. Feels kind of like Raptor. The controls are nice and smooth.

The graphics feel kind of floaty though, maybe its just me but there isn't much contrast between the ships and scene. Also, disable right click in the webplayer build. It was a while before I noticed the full screen button on the tiny webplayer.

I think its really good!!

I had fun playing through it, make it to the boss with no problem, took a while to figure out how to hurt it but eventually got it. The mines ended up killing me, I couldn't figure out what their range was and didn't realize I was losing health.

Congrats! Seems well polished and fun (for those that like 2D side-scrolling shoot-em ups!, which isn't me  :( )

HOWEVER, that doesn't diminish from your hard work and seemingly fun game!

Oh and my only feedback was it took forever to load and I have very fast internet, can you do anything to speed it up? As in loading the starting game animations and then streaming the rest and only display the menu once the level has loaded?

Again congrats!

Thanks for your feedbakc even is you dont like ShMups :-D

Loading speed might be a hosting problem or to much traffic at the side - got a cheap Hoster due lack of money :-/

I might not specialy polish for the Web since I'm focusing my Time on the Release Version currently - but thanks for mention it.

cheers

Just woke few days back and found the message in my inbox "Cyberpunk 3776 got Greenlit!" AWESOME!!!

Thank you all so much for your support! Apparently I'm really busy during January with big things going on in my personal life, but I will do my best to set up the Steam release for Cyberpunk 3776 during February-March - so stay tuned just a little bit longer pilots - soon we will get there! Meanwhile visit the games website and grab the DRM free PC/MAC Version @itch.io or @desura (or just check out the demo). www.cyberpunk3776.com

I'm missing the Cyberpunk themed Sale Steam is running this Week with some really great pearls on the shelves, but my new Steam Shop Side is up and I'm working on the finishing testing of the Game. Achievements and the Highscore Leaderboard are working so we are almost there! The new Version with more polished VisualFX and better overall performance will hit Steam soon.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/343170

Overall some changes are more cosmetical nature but I also adjusted some of the gameplay progression. As an developer I must say it was really kind of nice to lay my hands on this baby again - first I was afraid I would not be able to resist the urge to refactor a lot of things since I would do some stuff on the technical side differently now but it really was fun to revisit this special atmosphere and gameplay of this one.
Added a new little Teaser too on the Cyberpunk 3776 Steam Shop Side, so let me know what you think Pilot's of Doom :-)

Since I had to put up more time in dev you might have noticed that the Price Tag has changed. All you early adopters and true gamers who supported me from the very first hour have the nice advantage to getting the game early before the Price changed. Thanks to you guys Cyberpunk 3776 got greenlit and I'm really happy about this!  Steamkeys for all owners will follow shortly after the launch on Steam and  after that is up and running I will work on updating the DRM free Version too with the latest changes asap.

Best
Peter
