Title: Quick/Short Fav List
Post by: Lane on December 11, 2013, 07:44:36 AM
Just an idea I had while working yesterday, buried in deep hierarchy of a crane with a bunch of FSM's.. We have the dropdown list of available FSM's and also the Scene Hierarchy to select objects with FSM's, and also the Back/Fwd buttons in the editor to jump between recent FSM's.

Does anyone think it would be convenient to have a "Short/Quick List" floating menu or something that we can Drag'n'drop FSM's into or click an Add Current FSM To List button on it?

This stems from having a complicated hierarchy on one object with FSM's needed at many different levels in it and needing to switch between a few of them frequently. I kept having to look through the hierarchy to find what I needed and it was fine but i thought there may be some room for QoL improvements in there somewhere without bringing up the entire FSM list to choose from.

Just a thought.

Hi,

Not a real fav list, but the fsm browser editor has an option to list the msot recent fsm, I use it quite a lot on complex projects. it helps.

But yes, more goodies such as fav list would be good. I would however put a warning flag, are you for example using the unity new asset browser features? I just can't work with it... very odd, me that always strive for that, I find it totally unusable, so doing this kind of stuff is always a hit or miss and never actually ends up satisfactory for everyone unfortunatly.

bye,
