Hi,
Do I really need an IAP plugin to get a donation button working? I haven't really read up on what you need to do to get 'in app purchases' to work, any hints on a good place to start that will cover the basics in brevity?

Why not just setup a webpage for it and make the button go there in the browser?

Because that would derail the ease with which it could be done, probably causing less donations with the platform switch. I'm basically looking to do a freemium type setup, with a portion of the app that would be unlocked with a donation.

That is what IAP is for.

Yes, and the reason I'm asking for guidance in the jungle of IAP plugins. Do I need a plugin? If I do which one would you recommend. What would the easiest way to get such 'a simple' function to work, and preferably for the least money (Prime31 are too expensive for me).

Yes, you'll need a plugin for that unfortunatly. prime31 always recommanded first as far as I am concern. I worked with it a while ago. If you go with this solution, make sure you read that thread first:
