Title: advice on saving data [SOLVED]
Post by: Splankton on May 24, 2014, 12:01:00 PM
Hi, what is the best way to save data on mobile?
Is player prefs secure enough?
What about easy 2 save. Is that more secure?  I don't want the saved data to be accessed in any way.
Thanks for any advice.

I'm using EasySave2 and it works perfectly on mobile.

It supports encryption.

The PlayMaker actions are very simple to use - e.g. Save Variable or Load Variable, all variable types seem to be supported.

See the attachment.

You set the info you want to save (or load), that's it.

I have no idea what you mean.

You tell it what you want the save file to be called. (in this example save.txt)

Then when you want to load that the item that you have saved, the tag name you gave it, use that tag name again on the Load action.

The screenshot I gave you shows what you would need to do to save an Int, and restore the int.

You would put the action to Save immediately after the actions you use to buy/sell items. And put the action to Load the value when you start your game.
