I think a lot of people will be interested if someone creates actions for AdColony advertizing network including a paid Playmaker package. They already have a Unity Package, so only the actions need to be created: https://github.com/AdColony/AdColony-Unity-SDK. Would be great!
Cheers!

Great, it has 4 votes now, just 2 more needed to reach top spot.
-
I will try to make it this weekend. I do not have a Android device at the moment though so it makes testing a bit harder.
-
Thanks, Marsh!
That would be great.
I'll test it for you, when you have something.

As far as I can tell by the kit there is really only 1 or two actions? Is there not a PlayMaker action that can call a method. You should be able to do this yourself.
-
Thanks for checking. I thought it would take more as there are playmaker action packages for other similar stuff also.
I'll dig into it and learn this too.
Thanks,

Well, there's actually one issue. You can launch the video in playmaker, but you cannot get a confirmation if the user has watched the whole video or not and adcolony pays on watched full video.
In order to make the player watch the full video you need to give him some sort of motivation - in most of the cases ingame money. However, I didn't find a way to understand how to receive a success event in Playmaker for a full watched video. No full watched ad - no pay.
-
You can create a callback and send a global action on full watch finished. But its a lot of work for 1 action.

Unfortunately I have no idea now how to do that and would take too much time to learn that area too. :(
This is the reason I asked for the Playmaker actions. The fewer actions required to get this working the merrier.
I am sure there is somebody out there who could do this and put it on the Unity Asset Store and maybe even make a profit eventually. (I don't know how much work creating the required actions takes.)

I fear this will stay at the bottom of the TODO list forever. :(
Please somebody make a paid package for this, like
http://www.mightyprofessional.com/
has for other advertising networks.

i was thinking to pay some one who was capable of making actions for playmaker but i was not able to find if some one can give link to freelancer that will be good enough
-
@marsh.....maybe
-
Hi i have asked marsh but marsh was buy hope he make a reply here
-
in the meantime you can use UnityAds ;)
-
Yes, UnityAds works great with just 3 actions from LampRabbit:

AdColony should not be more difficult either, to get working.
But UnityAds is often not enough:
- you should be using both, or more, as there is nothing more annoying when you offer your players/users some ads to watch for ingame stuff, but don't have any ads to show,
- UnityAds only advertises games and for example a lifestyle app should get much higher click through rate from AdColony ads targeted for that specific audience.
Example: your grandma won't get excited about a Clash of Clans ad, but will click Oprah Winfrey's new cookbook ad.
