If i buy Playmaker today, do i have to pay again for the update to 1.8 ?
Best regards Harvid
-
1.8 update is free.
I believe it will be off-sale when 1.8 hits, so it seems like now would be the most economical time to buy :)
-
Thank you for your fast reply, i'm looking forward to be a new customer :D

Thanks for inf... :-[

Playmaker is $45 right now. Normally it's $95. I have no idea why they are selling this so cheap. They could sell it for $500 and it'd be worth it. They'd probably sell less, but make more money.

Quite the contrary, I believe... Bought me PlayMaker today. This, after a couple of years of "scouting" the Asset Store every now and then and not making my mind up... You see, although I have no prior experience as a video game designer, I'm not entirely new to the more traditional board game design; I have one such game to my account –a non-abstract Halma-like strategy/race/transport puzzle hybrid kind of game– and wanted to "port" these ideas into the electronic realm... This 50% off discount was the incentive I needed to finally start prototyping my game.
My guess is Unity 5 is still some time away and a boost in PM sales was needed...

Tons of stuff on there and it hasn't even been updated since Late November. Most of the major new features are noted above, but there has been a lot of stability and compatibility fixes since then. Unity 5.0 makes some pretty big changes.

Hi,
And custom colors for states :)
Bye,
Jean

I was hoping to see 'global variable can be renamed' to the list.

Is there going to be any support for the new UI with Playmaker?
I am willing to help fund of the R&D to make it happen.
-
"new UI with Playmaker? "
There has been support for it for months already.
-
I found the UI proxy. hope this works with Unity 5
-
Hi,
Yes, I tested the UI package, it works. Let me know however if you find issues.
Bye,
Jean

The UI proxy works fine, but is there a way to detect once the mouse hovers over a button?
-
Hi,
yep, I released ( silently) the pointerevent system. I need to do some videos and samples on this before I make it public.
Add the PlayMakerUGuiPointerEventsProxy component, on your UI gameobject and you'll get events like "UGUI/ ON POINTER ENTER", make sure you have the PlayMaker uGUI prefab in your scene to get them events to register.
Bye,
Jean
-
So I get it from the Eco system? Reason I ask is that my version of the proxy UI does not have mouse enter options.
-
Hi,
You have 3several proxies:
PlayMakerUGuiComponentProxy
PlayMakerUGuiDragEventsProxy
PlayMakerUGuiDropEventsProxy
PlayMakerUGuiPointerEventsProxy ( this one will expose "enter")
