I'm not sure why I didn't think of that. Thank you!

Playmaker Help / Auto-Jump with Raycast?
« on: August 10, 2018, 08:29:05 AM »
I need my character to jump whenever a ray is not hitting the terrain, or any ground object for the matter.

Is there a way to detect when the ray is not hitting a game object? So then it can it proceed to forcing the character to auto-jump?

Same here. Scroll seems to work only for some state views, but majority of the time just scrolls the graph view.

Playmaker Help / Re: Make a Character lean towards direction?
« on: June 15, 2018, 10:56:31 AM »
I got that part down. I simply store the axis in a float, and set the animators X_Axis and Y_Axis values to the ones I get from the axis themselves. That's not the issue I'm having.

On the Blendtree between my run straight, lean left, and lean right actions. The parameters are set so that if Y_Axis is Positive and X_Axis is positive, it would lean right.

But lets say the player is running towards the screen. If Y_Axis is negative, but the X_Axis is positive, the character himself will be turning to his left (Our right), but still playing the Lean right animation, because the X is positive right.

but I think I may have figured something out.

Playmaker Help / Re: Help with Camera clipping through walls

Yea, just use the free look camera to orbit. Just use the camera collider extension, and you can set the collider radius and all that good stuff. It takes a good while to go through everything cinemachine has to offer, but it's my go to tool for cameras.

If you're creating a third person or first person game, just use cinemachine. Saves a lot of headaches, and it's free.

If you're doing 2d, I would just buy Pro Camera 2D. I can't tell you how much that helped me since it came with custom Playmaker actions.

Playmaker Help / Re: Make a Character lean towards direction?

I tried, so for example if they pressed horizontal axis to the right, it would be +1, so i would store it in a float, and on the blend tree i would set +1 = lean right... thats if they were walking forward, but now if they walk towards us, and press horizontal to the right, it plays their lean right animation, rather then left. Since they now are walking towards us it should play a lean left animation.

idk if that makes sense.

Playmaker Help / Make a Character lean towards direction?

Hey,

I was wondering how could we track the direction the player is going in? Mainly to use for leaning left/ right when the joystick is pressed any of those directions.

Thanks!

Playmaker Help / Re: Jump and gliding in playmaker
« on: October 30, 2015, 03:11:24 PM »
It should be able to work the same way, what I would do is simply before they hit the ground if they press the same button again, send it to a glide event. So a little something like this.

Get button down->In Air-> Get Button Down (Same one, before hitting ground)-> Glide-> Get Button Up(Release)-> Fall to ground.

What I did for the glide, was when my character jumped in the air, if you pressed a certain button before he fell back down he'd open a glider. Then I just sent the glide even to add a little force every frame, until he eventually came downwards.

Playmaker Help / Is it possible to do a Sonic style ramp?
« on: October 30, 2015, 03:29:17 AM »
This might be a little to broad, or maybe not achievable with Playmaker? but is there a way to keep our character stuck on the ground collision when going in a loop or a spiral like this video?

Playmaker Help / How to Float Clamp an Axis

I wanted to use a float clamp to add a minimum and maximum vale for the z position. How would I go about doing that?
