I was able to make modified version of this action with reset on exit option, that seems to work great. I wonder why it wasn't implemented there by default.

 It's simple then:

 use the action "Set Material Float" and set the "Named Float" to "_Blend" then adjust that value from 0 to 1.



There's a problem with this approach. Material stays changed inside game project when I exit play mode. Is there a way to avoid this?

Every time I use add to array add or array remove action I use Array save changes action, to prevent bugs in my logic. This makes me wonder why those action don't automatically save changes to array? In what situations it makes sense to use array add/remove action and don't use Array save changes action?

When making and debugging game I use pause play mode a lot. I even have a dedicated button on my mouse for pause play mode. There's two things that I dislike  when working in playmaker while Play mode is paused.

1. I don't like that I can't change global variables when Playmode is paused.
2. I don't like that helpful Playmaker highlights disappear. In play mode. I mean, things like green highlighted state, progress bar on wait action etc.

If you Do this without a breakpoint?

does it receive the event?

from this video it seems like breakpoint itself has some issue, as the game is paused and i don't think it should be stopped on state 2 (on the main camera fsm) , but you can see the arrow is active going to state 5.

I do have this on PM1.9.0 as well in some cases and when i set a extra state with a breakpoint it stops there.
Without break point it works fine. So it seems that additional finished step helped. Thanks for the help and additional explenation!

Seems like I've found a bug. I did what you've said. And as you see this fsm didn't received event, but when I open script that sent it and then get back to fsm that should receive event, whiteout unpausing the game. Event gets received.

While trying to fix a bug, I've discovered that Playmaker doesn't behave as I expected. With this kind of logic

I expect that object will be spawned and will receive event in a single frame, but it receives event only on a next frame after spawn. Is this a bug?

In first version of v1.9.1.f7 this issue was fixed.

Unfortinaly in patch 5, this issue came back.

This issue came up before and I thought the author of Easy Save had issued an update to fix it. Are you sure you have the latest version/actions? I'm also checking with him...
I used Easy Save 2 before upgrading to v1.9.1.f7. I've go some ES2 actions errors and decided to make a switch to Easy Save 3. Or did he issued an upadate with the fix after v1.9.1.f7 was released?

I've managed find core of the issue and fix it. Most of my playmaker stuff lives inside Plugins folder. But Ecosystem places actions outside of plugins folder. Since some of those custom actions became default actions in new version of Playmaker I had duplicates and I didn't have any errors because one version of action lived insider Plugins while other didn't. So I've transferred all my custom actions inside Plugins folder, got bunch of errors regarding duplicate action scripts, removed duplicate action scripts. Restarted Unity. Now, find and edit scripts works fine.

Unity 2018.4.31

When I upgraded my project to Playmaker v1.9.1 I've upgraded to the latest version of Easy Save 3 plugin. If a recall correctly I didn't have this issue with older version of Playmaker 1.9.1

Now, when I use save or load action, variable field becomes blank when I save the the scene.

But this issue is purely visual, those actions still hold correct variables.
