PlayMaker Help / I cannot uncheck specific global events.

I have this problem for many years and I finally decided to tackle it. Currently using Unity 2018.4.20 and Playmaker 1.9. Here's what happens.


I thought I'm able to uncheck some events, but not others. But after sometime I've noticed that events that I've previously successfully unchecked are back to being global.

That's the only error I sometimes get after saving project, after global var uncheck.



P.S. I also noticed that FINISHED is a global event, but uptiong to uncheck it is blocked.

2018.4.20. Playmaker 1.9.0. Same issue. Closing global vars does solve it, but it is very inconvenient to constantly open and close them. Cause I do use globals a lot.

The Graph View acts like a web browser, comes with ◀︎ and ▶︎ arrows and sometimes it even forgets the "pages" (FSMs) chronology too.
Currently, the only solution is to click on ◀︎ (top left corner of Graph View) to go back to the previous FSM.
That's exactly what I'm currently doing to get to FSM I want to watch. I would love to get rid of all those extra clicks and attention switches.

Hi.
Sorry but at this moment i have to much other work to continue working on steamworks actions.

But i did set my github public so if anyone wants to work on it feel free.

Hopefully in a few month i can continue on this (or redo as the library was overhauled)

I'm not sure you can do anything about it. It seems like it a steam problem, I was asking here in hope that someone might know something about it. Maybe a workaround.

Here's another issue I've found.

I've uploaded 256x256 icons for achievements, as steam recommends and now, when I receive achievement, only part of that icon is visible. Upgrading to latest version steamworks doesn't fix it.

With new steam library overhaul, I don't understand how can we properly test achievements for unreleased games with progress bars. Like those.



Steam simply doesn't show achievements for unreleased game in Library anymore :(

I've been using Playmaker for many years and this is my main workflow issue with playmaker. Basically, very often when I'm ready to test and hit enter playmode button, playmaker changes FSM that I'm looking at (debugging), so I have to select it manually again. Today I've finally noticed when it happens. It happens if object that doesn't have that FSM is selected, when I enter play mode. Lock feature doesn't help.

Here's demonstration of the issue.
Maybe I'm missing something and there some setting that can fix this?

Can anyone give me example picture of FSM how to setup and work with these actions: Steam Stats Setup, Steam Stat Set, Steam Stat Get. I can't figure out how to work with this. Unity showing error "can't find stat with that name", but "Steam Stats Setup" action must be only INT or FLOAT and my stat API Name is STRING (on steamworks developer page https://partner.steamgames.com) ?

Just to add more information. It's not project related. Here's a setup of a new empty project from scratch. Issue is still there.

 I am not sure why you use the direction. It works fine here just as is targeting what ever you want as a gameobject.

Your setup works only when "tank" object is in 0 0 0 position, as soon as it is moved anywhere else it stops working.


 I'm using Unity 2018.4.5 and Playmaker 1.9.0.p18

Hi,

 Here we go: I modified the lookAt action, created a new one called, LookAt2 and it has a new check box "Constraint locally" which in effect makes the "keep vertical" option local, instead of global.


I've attached a fully working example. You'll note that you do need to pass the "up" vector, which is in this case always the vertical axis of the turret.

For me it doesn't work. Downloading last version of script from Ecosystem made it move, but as you can see from the video it works incorrectly.
