Hi,

manage to solve but maybe it is not so neat but it is working.
what i did is : every time i use Look At i will use Get Forward Direction action to get new facing vector3 and set the vector3 value of variable that is used in Smooth Look at direction. Now the player wont snap back to previous facing direction before using look at.

But JeanFabre, im interested in your method. Care to come out with tutorial. Its sound like a clever solution. Thanks BTW

I kindof get it. But thats mean Get axis vector will use these dummy object as a reference for Smooth Look At Direction?

Thanks for the idea, is kinda lit something😁

5
Hi and thanks to you.

Any detail suggestions to combat the above siuation? It useful if the player move and come with contact an npc/switch and want to face at that direction. 😅

Hi all,

I think the problem is simple, maybe due to over immersive into developement i get clueless about this.

Let say i have two state.

State 1 - Wait Input key for direction using Get Axis Vector and Smooth Look at
              Direction
            - Wait for a key down and to turn the direction of the player(Player
Facing) and go to State 2

State 2 - Rotate the player for a certain angle and finished go back to State 1

Here, after go back to State 1,the player dont preserve the new facing angle, instead it goes back to its previous facing direction.

Anyway to override this?

Thanks

Playmaker Help / Pause the system and specific object/character
« on: July 01, 2019, 06:24:04 PM »
Hi all😁

I ve come to the phase of developement where i need pause button and also pausing/halt character/object to highlight sometime and then resume.

I know of the existence of time scale 0. But is there any other method for pause and then for pause/halt object?

Thanks

Hi..Thanks Jean.

Im taking my time asking around for the controller:) but nothing seem directly support PM and ive ended with Easy Character Controller but with some script edit it work great with PM. It is just a character controller but no tied to 3rd/1st person which is good(Since we have Cinemachine already 8) )

Thanks

Never felt game programming is so fun. It is just converting step by step pseudocode with PM action.

Thanks PM. BTW now im on a serious project whilst learning unity and PM, and manage to almost complete prototype of the first level:)

ok thanks:) ive tried to upgrade to 2018 and yes, i saw those addtional action not listed in 2017 ;D

But too bad, charactermotor script dont work in 2018.Ive look around standard character controller in 2018 but the way it work require me to edited most of my character controller.

I stick with 2017 and edited simple script(found on net) and set the noise(amplitude and frequency) to shake the camera. Thanks:)
