PlayMaker Help / Random Object Spawn and overlapping :(

Hey, all

So I have a question, I have been trying to create a random object spawner. Now I have created 3 different prefabs with different spawn times but no matter what time they spawn they will always intersect each other and look ugly.

I am creating a game like flappy bird "yes another remake" :P but with more then 1 object and not just a random position for them but I want random locations for each object I have out there.

So my main question is how do I get it so they will not intersect each other when randomly created?

I am having issues with Unity ios tutorials, such as one where you have to shake the ipad and it just does nothing on my ipad :( Even with using the sample files you guys have given us it still does not work.

Hey all,

So I am back from a long time away from games and Unity along with playmaker. I was wondering are the tutorials on youtube still valid for the current release of Unity.

I dont want to be watching stuff that will not work :(

From my experience the tutorials for ios dont really work well with android, but the sample scenes that come with Unity are a good start. I also have been wondering if playmaker will do tutorials for android. And for the google thing yes you can deploy straight to your phone which I love! :)

So something similar too you're endless road example? Also how would I make it so it does not look exactly the same all the time, would there be a way for it to spawn lets say (prefab set 1) or (prefab set 2) in a location on the game. I could use randomize betwin 1 and 2 with a int.

Since the player will keep running over and over on this infinite level.

Yea as a 3d artist only I am still learning the in's and out's of programming and thanks to playmaker for there great tool it is a great + but still a learning curve with mobile devices. I knew that if you have more stuff in the scene the more it would eat of your platform.

So with a pool I can have presets rdy to be deployed when the player hits a certain trigger such as he runs pass a house.

By having a whole preset of part of a environment hidden until the trigger is hit, does this not still eat the memory of a mobile.

What would be a good way to speed it up for instance I want to speed it up so it gets harder and harder over time.

Also keeping a distance score system now I was thinking I could create a distance from time like they been playing for 2 mins so that = 7000 meters.

I am quite new to programming, by pool manager system what do you mean with that?

I have a very similar question but in a different way you asked it. I was wondering how does the mobile not chew up so much memory with a infinite level like you're example.

If you want to publish to android or iPhone with photon, then yes you have to have pro unity and pro android/iPhone. For things to work when building you have to delete you're photon folder in the free versions

I got a question I am trying to build a game like {Despicable Me: Minion Rush} or Subway Surfers. But I am wondering how would I go with terrain and loading all the meshes.

These games are based on repeating the same models over and over again until you hit something.

Would I just hide them first then show them once the player has hit a trigger. Since in the games it goes faster and faster.

I know my models will have to be very low poly and repeated a lot.
