Hi. I´m using a UI Dropdow but only can find ON INT VALUE CHANGED to get an Event. The problem is that no matter wich OPTION A, B, C...its checked, you get the same Event. How I have to do to get an event per Option ?
OPTION A ---"event A"
OPTION B ---"event B"
OPTION C ---"event C"

Hi.
I am working with strings from UDP. I get them in Unity and works so fine.
The issue is that when I try to convert the strings to Ints give me this error:

FormatException: Input string was not in the correct format
System.Int32.Parse (System.String s) (at /Users/builduser/buildslave/mono/build/mcs/class/corlib/System/Int32.cs:629)

The strings I receive from the UDP are ASCII.

Why I cant convert them to Int ?

Now on the PM Array List Proxy (Script) I can see there are 109583 "Items"
Thats cool, the txt  has been splited to an Array List. But I cant use directly "string contain fast"  I have to get first from the array list with Array List Get p.e. But it get per At Index, so only checks one item per call.
How can I make to compare automatically the input text with all the items ?

Well you could download the text as a file and load into into an array then use string contain fast or string compare fast (from ecosystem as they have low memory usage) and take if from there..

That makes sense to me.
I have been searching but not found... how to load the file into an array?

Why not. The problem is probably in the performance. But I wonder if you could ever be able to code such a thing when you don't even know if it's possible...

Sure Im not capable to code it. I have no idea. I just get into scripts methods with playmaker actions. I thought some kind of array text, to compare strings,in a dictionary like "100000 word-list " txt on the link.

Its so crazy for me to modify this script for my use, even I dont know wich one is the good one. :S  I think is real complex for my very low programer skills.


No easy PlayMaker way ?  Like this...to have an array of strings and check them while seting the imput text.

I used what you told me.
Get string length. Int. Int operator. Add -1. Then set this Int for the Char Count of
Get String Left. Yes, this way the stored result string "hides" the last letter but not deletes it. then if the user going on tipying appears the letter that its supossed to be delete. You know what I mean ?

Ok Ok . I think I got it.
The way its.. when the user press delete set the Store result of the GetStringLeft as the new string for the displayed Text.
Im gonna work on it if it is right.

I have been following this topic :

but I cant make it work. Im doing the same, a custom keyboard, all works right but  "delete" letters of the string var.
How can I do to delete the last "letter" of the string ?
