PlayMaker Announcements / Use Playmaker without Domain-Reload?
« on: March 29, 2020, 09:13:34 AM »
Hi there, since the latest version of Unity you can speed up entering Play-Mode by disabling Domain-Reload in the Editor setting.

But it seems Playmaker won't to work correctly in this new mode. Is there an update in progress to support this new mode?

PlayMaker Help / Re: PlayMaker vs. ICode
« on: May 20, 2015, 11:56:31 PM »
Maybe you misunderstand. Mecanim itself doesn't allow any gameplay design or whatever, but it does use the concept of the State Machine, which is what stuff like ICode is interested in using.

(before)
...and apparently takes advantage of at least some of the Mecanim state systems

This was, what I mean - you said "and apparently takes advantage of at least some of the Mecanim state systems" << so this doesn't mean "some special features of Unity or MSS-Animation-Control", right?

So everything can be done with PlayMaker, too and there's no reason to use/combine ICode, if you're happy with PlayMaker, because you can done the same stuff with PlayMaker :)

BTW: What do the two chars in the PlayMaker-Sign means in english? :)

Thank you. I love PlayMaker, but I'm confused why people combine PlayMaker and ICode if both are a State Machine oO

Hi there,
maybe I'm a lil bit to stupid, but is there any reason why I should use ICode instead of PlayMaker? Don't they do the same thing?

PlayMaker Help / Best way to save and load instantiated objects?
« on: May 14, 2015, 01:20:08 PM »
Hi there,
I've to instantiate objects at runtime (via PlayMaker Create Object action). In this case an empty image, which will be filled by the user with the build-in camera (mobile-phone).

That's working fine.

So my question is: What is the best way to save and re-load this images later?

My first idea is to store them in a directory as single png-files. But I don't know how to load them later without using a file-name-database. Is it possible to get all files in a specific directory?

I can't use file names like 00001.png, 00002.png, ... - because the user can delete this pictures, too - and if I would try to load them by number (00001.png, ...) I would get errors, if the user deleted an image before in the App.

I'm very new to this stuff. Is there a much easier way to do this? I also bought EasySave on the AssetStore - if this helps.

Thanks a lot for helping!!

Ok, so EvenTrigger isn't possbile with PlayMaker o_O

Any plans for that soon or does all people who want to use Even Trigger have to switch to something like Blox?

What I need is something like that - but in PlayMaker ^^

Thank you, but this doesn't work with an UI image, which I need for my image-slider, where the user should select the image.

Is there another way to realized that? Should I try to use buttons with the image as graphic instead of an UI image to handle that?
