PlayMaker Help / Any existing guide to make a JRPG fight menu?

I need to make with Playmaker a JRPG fight menu (like Final Fantasy 7).
The content should be customizable, so for example, I can custom magic spells, special moves etcetera.
Any help?

A tutorial/guide is ok too.

PlayMaker Help / [PUN 2] Sync the health info on joined

I'm using PUN 2 recently.

I've made a health system. The problem is when another player joins the room after somebody inflicted/received damage: for the latest player joined, the other players' health will result as 0.

I need then to "download" an set the health info from the new player's point of view.

But perhaps... I'm on the wrong road because I'm not using RPC events to set health, but 'IsMine' check.

The fact is I tried to set health with RPCs but in the case of mine the changes are global: if I shoot the opponent, also the sender's life will be modified.

I tried with Other Buffered but It doesn't work anyway.

Here the screen of players' health modifiers.
I presume here misses something or it is not the best method...

Any idea?

I just want to know if Photon transform-view for PUN 2 can only be used for Player.
I saw the third tutorial of tcmeric, but I am now following the PUN 1 tutorials above the fourth because apparently tcmeric is too busy to continue the series about PUN.

The fourth about PUN 1 I was watching, tells about sync bullets.
But, again, it is PUN 1, so it could be better adding a Photon transform-view to the bullet and then add a PUN instantiate, or the sync method for PUN 1 is still valid?
What about using raycasts with PUN 2? Most of the bullets I made is no rigid body-based.

EDIT: The two players with the transform-view move together when there is an input. Is it normal?

I notice you that PUN 2 was updated; the Playmaker window show this warning.

How can I solve?
Is it a common problem caused by the new version?


Some time ago JeanFabre noticed me he made a Sample in the Ecosystem.
I should have used this to make a Shotgun spread.

Unfortunately typing bullet there aren't results. Did he change its name?



I write because I used a render texture to show what the Topdown camera is seeing.

Now I need to select a gameobject placed in the scene within this render texture.

So the raycast which hit a point of the rendere texture, should be emited by the top down camera and return the obj I clicked on.

How Can I make it possible?

I tried with Custom Mouse Pick from Ecosystem, but it didn't work.

PlayMaker Help / Raycast Hit Normal Info doesn't return the right rotation

Hi, I recently bought a decal system.

I made a FSM which should place these decals based on the point and the normal angle. Raycast hit point works, but the decal doesn't set the right rotation compared to the hitten wall.

So the decal spawn correctly only on the floor.
I used Raycast Info to get Point and Normal, then Create Object with position and rotation to point and normal, but nothing...

Some help?
Do you need some screen too?

PlayMaker Help / All variables has been deleted after a Bluescreen

Hi, I should appreciate rapid help, because this half-week I must send my game to the greater videogame festival in Italy.

When I created the project a month ago, some variable deleted causeless but I always ignored just by re-creating them again.This evening after a bluescreen caused by the Unexpected Kernel mode Trap error, Playmaker lost all global variables!

What Can I do?

Hi, I trought if it is possible, using LookAt, check the look at angle and project a different sprite.

Did you play Ultimate Doom and Doom II?

The character sprite "fake rotation"should change based on where the player is and where actually the enemy is looking at.

How can I do this?


VR Help / VRTK - Missing scripts?

Hi, I write again because Unity gives me an error.

Unity says in debug console:"
Code: [Select]
Assets/VRTK_Playmaker3x-master/TriggerEvents/Haptics/HapticAdvancedRumble.cs(32,8): error CS0234: The type or namespace name `VRTK_ControllerActions' does not exist in the namespace `VRTK'. Are you missing an assembly reference?

I reimported all, but the error persist.

What can I do?

Hi, how are you?
I'm back with a VR simple project, the previous one not in VR had a customizable ambient so it was hard to make for a beginner who should make easy stuff.

Now I'm back with a VR project.

Now, I looked for tutorials, but I want a good tutorial to understand how to do some actions.

First question about VR: moving with the vive's touchpad using it like an analogic stick should cause vomit or sickness?So is it better to make the player moving with teleportation?

Is there a video which show how to make a grab with playmaker using a custom hand mesh?

I died yesterday using UE4... so I moved again on Unity.

I do not pretend you have to post down here "How to".

I tell you what I need, just post a VR tutorial I can follow(with Playmaker obviously).

-Custom Mesh Hand Grab with animations
-Creating a Weapon menu that should freeze\slow the time while using it.
-Hide\Unhide Weapon or change mesh

As you can see these question are about simple stuff, but now that Unreal traumatized me I've lost the logic and I don't know anymore how to combine Playmaker to PlaymakerVR toolkit...

Some helpul tutorial to do this?


Hi, It should possible blocking the tile placement while the mouse is pointing the GUI Buttons?

This in Playmaker only, not by scripts.

I would know if it is possible creating (err... I don't know how call this build system in english) a Brush to Draw different types of rooms. The same as Evil Genius:

They should snap like a grid.
Which actions I need to made my custom system?

I tried to find something on the asset store, but I don't know the specific name of this build mode. Moreover It's top down only when you are in customize mode: the game I would to exercise with, is fps and top down only when you want to build something.
