I asked a few days ago, about how you could create two units shooting oneanother in a strategygame, and while all my questions came to a satisfying conclusion, I am now stuck with annother question:

If ship A shoots at ship B and does 30 Damage out of 100 health, how do I get my fsm's to make this? So far I tried to do it by event, which works fine if you only have one or two diffrent damage values, what I want to know is, how I can comunicate exact values between two fsm's.

It is for a 3d strategy game, and I would like every unit to have a dedicated fsm for their health and not use global variables for health.

Hello, I have a question regarding healthbars, while so far I created healthbars with sliders integrated in the UI, I now want to have the healthbars hovering over the units they belong to. It is for a 3D game, and I would be curious, if that is possible by using playmaker.

 I have another problem with clicking and detecting objects on the screen. My problem is that whenever I click on a UI-element all fsm's that use a mouse-pick detect what object is beneath the button. How cna I prevent this, as they don't seem to detect any button.

I googled my problem, and yes the buttons are selected as raycast targets, while the only other solution I seemd to find included coding in c++ at the event-manager.

I am sorry for asking so much, but I am pretty new to the whole substance of programming. So please forgive me for asking a bit more questions.

I am working on a small round based, hextile based game where units should be able to shoot at each other. I have just no idea how the shooting should be managed.

How can I make objects detect each other?
How can I make them shoot one annother? I would like to make a unit directly detect it's enemy and then hit it with a 100% chance. The projectile should also ignore anything in its path.

Sorry for the long post and thank you for your help.
If you know any good tutorials or guides on this subject please don't hesitate to tell me.

can someone help me please. I am using the action: "getmousebuttondown" a few times in my project. Standard stuff, I want to select a unit before I can move it and so on. My problem is now, that since multiple objects use the command "getmousebuttondown" they all play at the same time, even if they shouldn't.

That is an extreme problem with the ui. Do you guys maybe no a diffrent command for that, that can help me with my problem?

I get the error: state not in FSW. When I try to click ( MOUSE DOWN ) in an object which should be clickable. When playing the scene and having playmaker open then it shows that start works, but MOUSE DOWN doesn't.

I also wrote a script to see, if it is playmaker not detecting the mouse or unity itself, and unity detects a mouseclick.
