PlayMaker Help / trigger2D event doesnt detect multiple pieces

Hi,

I have a bug on a scene and dont know how to fix it.
It is a simple drag and drop mechanic.
Drag a piece "dragelement" on to a GO "goal"  and it should detect a trigger enter to make it bigger.

I made the script in _gameMechanic GO and use on the pieces GO "dragelement" a "get owner" to declare itself as a variable called "currentobjectDrag"
Then I duplicated the GO "dragelement" to have to similar puzzle pieces.

When I test the scene, the first GO I drag react normally and detect the trigger2D event (enter and exit), but the second GO I drag fail to detect anything. (watever the first GO I drag, it will work only on this first GO)
Even if the script recognise the "currentobjectDrag" variable is the current GO I am dragging, it fail to detect its trigger event. Only the first GO dragged will react to trigger2D event.

Did you get this kind of problem or know how to fix it?

Hello everyone,

I am trying to find a way to display numbers as sprites (with animations). This is for a math app where I need to be able to use the numbers for calculation as int and display everything with sprite.
I am quite unsure how to design the logic as simple and versatile as possible.
I would like to have 10 sprites, from 0 to 9 and be able to use them to display any int number in real time.
I can do that easily for numbers from 0 to 9, but when the int numbers are 10 or 100
it become more tricky :

for 15, I would need to know it is made of 2 numbers : 1 and 5
 create a game object with 2 children
 use the sprite nammed 1 for the first child,
 translate the next object to the right to have some space in between
 use the sprite nammed 5 for the second child,

Is there an elegant method to work with numbers this way, without using to much ressource (creating and destroying object...) ?

Any help would be really appreciated :)

I am trying to create In app purchase using easy mobile pro.
They have playmaker action that is why I bought it

I copied the FSM that allow to buy, created the Products on apple store page and set everything, and it seems to work on my build device (exept I cannot buy the Product when the app is not released yet)

The question is :
How do I connect to my actual content (I want to unlock some scenes, or some models)
to the products ?

Is there someone who already used IAP and could explain me the logic and the setup ?
How to retrieve information of product purchase
Should I save those informations ? (Via player prefs?)

I guess it is not dependant from any IAP asset.

PlayMaker Help / Drag Constrain/clamp[SOLVED]

Hello,

I want to be able to drag an object to a constraint area only.

I have been following this awesome tutorial about touch control with playmaker,
There is an example that allow to drag an object with touch.
I have been trying to modificate it to constrain or clamp the movement to certain area, but without success...
This exemple use a translate action to move the object, with variable touchXdelta and touchYdelta that come from GetTouchInfo action.
I tried using a float clamp on those variable to constrain them, before the translate action, but the result is not working as intended.
Does it work to use float clamp for a translate action ? Is there another way to constrain a drag object?

PlayMaker Help / Change sprite on Ipad

Hi everyone,

I was testing my app with a build on ipad. Almost everything is working fine, exept when I have sprites that change on touch. I used a Set Property to replace a sprite on mouseDown, and another to set the old one on MouseUp.
The script work on PC with the mouse, and on ipad throught the unity connect app with finger touch, but not when I build.


Is it a know issue ? Is there a better way to change a sprite ?

Hi everyone,

I am a 3D artist and illustrator who start learning playmaker,
Right now I am struggling with the game logic, and I would appreciate help from someone more experimented then me.

I was thinking to make an exchange with someone that is more advanced with playmaker, who would like to have the help from a graphist on their own project.

That could be working for a few days on each other project in parallel, and legally giving away the copyright of our work.
Or other arrangement if you have other ideas.

PlayMaker Help / detective game logic

Hi everyone

I would like to ask some more experimented user how to implement the barebone logic for a game I would like to make.

The game is a detective game for Kids where you have to find the guilty guy based on clue (like "Who am I ?")
On game start the clues and the culprit would be randomly choosen. like -long hat -blue eyes -red jaquet ...
On each scene the choosen clues would have to appear and to be found by the player through games.
On the last scene the culprit would be placed with the right items on him (for exemple -long hat -blue eyes -red jaquet) at a random place where other suspect are placed with random items...

I watched a lot of tutorials on array maker and I think I could use array or hashtable (which one would be best ?). I have a little understanding of how to work with it but still miss some understanding.
 I am still confuse how to implement it on such a mechanic.
Especialy the last scene, how to randomly place the culprit, how to place the items on the right spot (hat on the head, eyes, jaquet...).
Or  how to save the random choice of the clues on startup to work on all scenes....

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Action Requests / drag and drop for puzzle mechanic

Hello,
I would like to have an action for drag and drop, with some customisations, like being able to constrain the drag to some specific aera (x, y constrain), or being able to drag a piece to a target for puzzle mechanism. with event like on drag start, on drop sucess (if droped close to the target), on drop fail...
The drag and drag and drop is something quite important for my project.
To be able to make puzzle game, or to be able to drag the camera on the x axis with finger...

PlayMaker Help / UI buton firing twice[SOLVED]

Hello

After few days of researching I am stuck with a problem on one of my script

The script is for my menu, to select the next scene to load.
I made a button in the canvas, and each time there is a click it increment a variable "currentscene" and depending on the number, with a switch, play an animation to show or hide some element in the scene.
The problem is that the variable get incremented 2 times and the switch is lauched 2 times as well as seen on the screenshot.
I wonder where does the problem come from. Is it possible that the button launch multiple time per frames?
What is the best way to setup a simple button script ?

I have a scene with a piano, where user can play some note with touch, Should a canvas button be used or is there some better way to implement simple button mechanism with playmaker.

One last question. Is it possible to play an animation in reverse, or the only way is to create another animation.

Hi, everyone!
I just purchased playmaker and I really enjoy the simplicity and power it give me, I feel I will really enjoy working with it ! Today I am still a bit lost on some features that are important for my project.
I am develloping a kid app on ipad and mobile. It is very important to be able to implement touch feature easily and having simple easing fonctionalities.

-What is the best way to have access on mobile touch with playmaker in 2019, allowing easy drag and drop, pinch zoom, rotation, swift... (maybe whith with help of other assets?)
-Is there a drag and drop fonctionality that allow to constrain the values of the drag object (ex a camera that can pan on the x axis and only on the boudary of the whole scene)
-What is the best way to implement easing today, wich one would you recommend today ?


I am sorry for those questions, I searched onn the forums allready, but there is different responses on different threads and I am getting really confuse at the moment...
