PlayMaker Help / Confict between video and data maker

Hello,
i have started a project by using Data maker actions, and now i need video actions,
so i added it  into my project  and because it update definitions i think, all data maker actions are now broken

so i have to reimport (update ) Data maker scripts from ecosystem to get it to work fine again

PlayMaker Help / Get an array from his name ?

Hello,

i'm trying to make a system in witch, after taking the application system language used, i build a string using the 2 firts characters and the rest will be the name of the array.

like for exemple:
Fr_UI_Txts
En_UI_Txts
and so on...

but by using this logic i can't achieve the process because playmaker doesn't allow to select an array from a string variable...

so, is there any other good way to get it to work ?

Yes i know said, like that it sounds strange, but it is  !
let say you have (in my case) a character wich use a lots of scripts for many purpose and FSMs too.
i use a raycast to check ground and other things
last thing i modified pn my prefab was the layer used, Unchecked Reverse, modified the lenght... nothing special at all.

i save, start the game, and finally, when it is for this action to do is job, i get loop count > 1000 just because the version used in game is not the same as the prefab.

a bit disturbing for debugging.

the new prefab system is anoying to me. ::) :-\

Action Requests / Cinemachine Offset

Hello,

i'm not really sure if this has not already been done, but i didn't fund it anywhere.
and this is missing to me for a lot of projects.

i tryed to start writing one to set the offset but it seems more complicated than any other actions i have done before.

the extension looks really simple and should not take ages to be done..

PlayMaker Bug Reporting / Auto Duplicate(or paste) actions sometimes

Hi,

as says the title there is a bug wich is copying an action and paste it without any logic (to me), because i'm not using Ctrl+V, neither holding the action and trying to duplicate it.

i have noticed this problem is appearing sometimes while i'm just clicking on actions.

for now it's a bit of random times when it happens, i'll try to get more informations to help to debug this one wich is really anoying...

i don't know if i'm the only one with this problem ?

i have updated my project to unity 2019.3.0a2 and playmaker has this error message

'MovieTexture is removed. Use VideoPlayer instead.'


i don't know if there is already an updated about it

PlayMaker Help / how to take lower float in an array ?

hello,

in my game i have a setup in wich the ai must take a look around him and check wich gameobject is the nearest.

so i registered all distances in an array, but now, i don't know if there is a better way to compare each value and take the smallest, (and i'm pretty sure there is one) ?

cause for now i'm making multiple loops and set différents steps (<10, <20, <30...) but doing this way may takes ages for me but also to calculate.

Hello,

for my game in need to have multiple arrays, and it pose me a problem because of this:

  • my character takes the information from a gameobject, wich store objects created by user in an array.
  • the character get this array length, into it's own array, to get gameObjects created and decine wich one he needs after.
  • to store  the others informations in would like to get other informations from the gameobjects from the array itself, and another one wich is the distance from the character to the gameobject.
  • so i modified the existing action " Add Range" following the logic, i get the length of the other array, and set it  to this one

but the thing is that it doesn't really work and i don't know why.

The first action get the length, set to 1
the second action and range to 0
the third action add range to 1

so there is a difference from one action to the other and no error displayed anywhere, so it's a problem of logic for me…

can someone help ?

i firstly create a lot of int variables into my fsm.
after some times i decided to remove them all because i will use an array to store them efficiently.
so i deleted them all.

once done, in the action pannel, where i can choose variables, i got these visual problem:

Hello,

this is the first time i'm using this action "Array For Each",
i understand the princip but it doesn't work like i espect (it doesn't work at all..)


so i have a character, wich if i click on it, is added to an array, after that, if i click anywhere on the ground, the character must go at the position.
so for each character from the array it would repeat the task.

but for now, with only one character selected and in the arraylist, it doesn't do anything...

the only things i'm asking to the FSM is to set the position vector3 and send event to the gameobject. nothing more...

but the state is still stuck this for each step and will never finish.
but it can finish with an array lenght of 0.

Hi everyFrameone !

i have started working on actions for my games to allow me to get control of Navmesh, Navmesh agent(s) and navMesh Obstacle(s)

this is a first shot for now, i have still a lot of work to do to polish it, but majority of actions are working nicelly.
So i'm anouncing here that i'll put this on this asset store for people who are interested soon.

i'll write actions for AstarPathfinding project later, but this is another story...

PlayMaker Help / How to convert any object to FsmObject

Hi,

i'm writing actions for AI.NavMesh,
but there is a lot of custom type in there, and i would like to store them in fsm variable

for some i can do it easily,
but not always....

the problem for now is this one:

[ObjectType(typeof(NavMeshPath))]
public FsmObject PathObject;

it can be stored there without problem, but i cannot call it  with PathObject.Value

i tested many variants without succes.

so i missed something but what ?

Share New Actions / An Action to set a sprite height and rotation

Hello,

i started creating an action that would allow us to resize a sprite between 2 points.

i use it to let the player see the first clic with right mouse bouton, and the distance with actual mouse.x position to rotate the camera.

the script is actually not completed and i would like to have some help from more advanced people to make something great.

on the screenshot you may see the debug line in the scene view, wich is the desired result of course, and the game view has some problems with angle and sprite size must have height of 10 to get the right scale on Y.

i have attached the script if someone can complete it or help with advises.

like i said in an other post i use an empty action to separate my organisation.

this is really usefull when you have long list of actions in one state.
