Playmaker Tutorials / [Request] laser beam in 2d

Hi everyone. I apologize if this is a simple one but I have had problems finding tutorials on making laser beams in 2d mode using playmaker. I heard that using ray cast was not efficient in 2d mode but I'm not sure if that's the case.

Just to clarify, I am looking to make a beam weapon that shoots out from my ship and hits my enemies in a solid straight line (think Star Trek).

If anyone knows where I could find this info I would surely appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Playmaker Help / A question about Set Mouse Cursor

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there was a way to change your mouse cursor into a 3d object, rather than just a static texture.
For example, I want my mouse cursor to be a hammer, that when I click on something, it shows an animation of the hammer moving and "hammering" whatever I click on.
Is this possible with playmaker?

Playmaker Help / Sending Multiple Events[SOLVED]

Hi everyone. I am trying to figure out how to get my FSM to handle being sent multiple events at the same time.
Here is the breakdown of what I am trying to do:
I have 6 cubes, when the scene starts one randomly gets picked out and popped up in the air, then it loops back immediately and picks another random cube. During that cubes "popped up" state, I have a 3 second wait period that is handled by a second FSM that is set up to handle all of the wait periods. However, once one is called and is sitting in that Wait period, none of the others can be called.
How can I fix this, or is there a better way to be doing this (I am sure there is but I'm new to programing).
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Playmaker Help / GUI Depth, does it work?

Hi everyone. I saw some old posts from years back about this. I was just messing around playmaker and trying to set up some buttons and set the gui depth with that action, but it does not seem to be working. Also, once you put in a gui depth action, the preview stops working(very annoying!). Does anyone know if there is a way to get this working?

Hi everyone, as the title reads I am trying to set up a basic Gui Combat Text Log. I want it to record things like when my player does damage, receives damage, misses, hits, etc. I want the combat log not to fade out, but to stay until I send an event to erase the strings in it, and allow new strings to be added. I have not found any good tutorials dealing with Guis/Strings/Formats that sort of thing with Playmaker. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Playmaker Help / Changing Global Variables on different FSM's(solved)

Hi everyone, I am trying to figure something out.
I have 2 different game managers.
The first one sets a GUI, and displays an INT number from a global variable.
The second game manager has a state that does an INT ADD, and changes a global variable that is showing on the first game managers gui.
When I change the global int on the 2nd game manager, it does not update the gui on the first game manager.
How can I get this to work?
I hope this makes sense.

Playmaker Help / Problem with Get Owner/Activate Game Object(SOLVED)

Hi everyone. I am having an odd issue. I have a game object that I want to activate and deactivate. I put an FSM on the object and the first thing it does is identify itself as a global variable with the GET OWNER function.
When I plug this global variable into my other FSM, under an Activate Game Object function, it does not work. When I hit play and watch the steps, I notice that in the Playmaker window, the global variable actually disappears from the Activate Game Object field. However, if I just drag and drop the game object into the field it works fine. I must be missing something, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Playmaker Help / Problems when I add a Rigid Body

Hi everyone, I am new to Unity and Playmaker and I have been going through the tutorials. I was doing the one with the treasure chest that has the open and close animation. I wanted to make it so my character wouldn't be able to move right through the chest, so I added a Rigidbody to the chest and turned gravity off. Unfortunately this causes the FSM to fire off, opening the chest. I was wondering why this happens, and how I could correct it. Thanks in advance!
