PlayMaker Help / Rotate object to change UI numbers

basically, i have a thermostat with a visual temperature as i rotate the control knob it changes the UI numbers from 0 to 30 degrees.clockwise temp goes up counter goes down.
im just not sure where to start really i mean i have the rotate sorted just linking the numbers to the rotation is where im struggling

instead of creating a send event for every single tag if collide with this tag then do this, id rather the collider grabs the tag of the collided object and then does something that way id only need one send event
do we have anything like that i cant seem to find it

PlayMaker Help / store and search images on a database question

ill have around 10,000 images the user will search the images looking for the particular image based on a string value.
the size for all those images would be too big to store all on the ipad , so i'd like to store them on a database where the user can download whatever image they like to the ipad and the image will stay stored on the ipad once downloaded, would i be able to achieve this with sql database or not , what would be the best option for this

i'm creating mutiple ngui labels inside a scroll view which are ordered, all those labels are created from an array list when i delete one of those labels from the list i would like to refresh all the labels on the screen rather than have a hole missing from where i deleted the label, but im not really sure about how to refresh those displaying labels as ive tried to remove all data from the array list then re-populate but it seems to create a double of everything


PlayMaker Help / convert string to float issue

i have a string format timer in the form of min,sec,mill sec 00:00:0 like so, i need to be able to convert to a float so i can compare numbers but im getting a format exception with the separators :
how would i get the string value into a float value

at the moment i have a string compare or int compare that fires of an event when that equal event is met, it probably exists but i cant find it i need an int or float compare between a set of min and max numbers like if a number pops up between 1 & 10 then fire the event or if the number between 10000 & 10020 then fire the event


PlayMaker Help / Animator and playmaker error[SOLVED]

using playmaker 1.8.1
unity 5.3.4f1

all i tried to do was add a set animator bool then all of a suddon the actions browser goes blank and all these error codes show ive tried with a different project using rifle anim set imported from the asset store same thing all his playmaker actions that are using animator have errors

PlayMaker Help / rotation on z Axis

i have this room thermostat that rotates on the z axis and ive clamped the rotation so it moves only from 10 degrees to 30 degrees
im using getMouseX and getMouseY storing those inside a getAtan2 then storing that value inside an angle float variable
then im using the float clamp and then i set rotation on the zAxis
so as i move my mouse the thermostat control knob rotates based off my mouse movement, my problem is i want to add to the movement instead of at the moment its based entirely where the mouse is on screen so if i click on a point on the screen it will move to that specific point.
i suppose a rotate add based of my movement


PlayMaker Help / Hash Table Concat isnt working

just as a test i have 3 hash table proxy named number,name and concat as the third.
in my scene empty game object i have a hash table concat.
ive added the concat proxy as the storage
and the 2 hash tables are number and name,but its only reading the first hash table,it isn't concatenating both the tables together
any ideas


iOS Help / Swipe to move camera

how I'm doing this is storing all my camera positions in vector3's then using input touches for my gestures double tap zoom in ,stretch zoom out and swipe up and down to move the cam to those locations,what I'm unsure of how to do is recognise all those locations and move to them so they all work correctly,the camera is going to need to know what possible locations it has left right up down so what would be the most logical way to set it up,I mean would just use triggers and tap on those and back back button but it wouldn't be the same or as fluent with swipe

I'm not sure of the most efficient way of doing this,
I'm creating a scenario were one of five variables would be incorrect and would deem the end result not working,say like a particle flame,that particle flame needs 5 different variables to work,so I guess I need to loop through those variables to check them all and give a possible answer like not working

sounds simple enough but i think ive just had a memory blank, all i want to do is to select one object at a time.
so say i have 5 text objects on the screen when i touch one text object it turns red if i touch another then that text turns red and the other goes back to normal

so what i have so far,ive set up the barcode scanner and i can now grab the data thats created,i then manually input description,gc number,qty then press add to inventory
It will display all that info on another screen in a line for each item

my question is whats the best way to save all that data for each item,remember that all that data has to be displayed for each item on another page like this

thats one line for each part,the inventory will be searchable,each part will have the ability to be removed and added at any time by me.
Im just looking for guidance as i dont want to spend a week on something finding out it was  a waist.

what im using so far
easy barcode scanner
and im guessing arraymaker
and for setting native notifications i will be using Ios native

Is there someway of spawning a random game object from poolmanager,I'll add 4 cubes 1 red,1white, 1blue,1yellow I would like to be able to randomly spawn one of those cubes,in the poolmanager actions I don't see random spawn
