Hello PLAYMAKER GODS (11011 11011) :)

It seems that the "get color" and "Set color" actions don't work with the new UNITY 2018 HDRP "lit Shader" and I was wondering if you guys have an action for it that would work ? I really need to access the color on the shader for my customization mode.

Action Requests / Play Sound (with a delay)

Super random sorry, but I was just thinking it would be convenient to have the PLAY SOUND action come with a delay if possible ?

Sometimes you need the sound clip to start in that state, that, say is 2 seconds long but you need the .5 audio clip to start at like .75 seconds or something like that. That was a specific example lol

PlayMaker Help / too many Int Switches ?

Hello :)

May I ask, if you have a character with say 6 FSMS on them and each one has an INT SWITCH that connects to a 100 different states that load different stuff.

Is this going to cause the LOAD times to increase ? I feel like that is the situation that I am in right now, and was wondering if anyone has an idea on how I can get around this ? If there is a better method maybe ?

Hello fellow Playamakers and 4th of July,

May I ask for help from anyone whos good at making actions for scripts... I am using KRIPTO effects!/content/67803

And he has a small guide on how to apply or update at run-time. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me make actions for these... 

Here is hes small guide:

For creating effect in runtime, just use follow code:

var currentInstance = Instantiate(Effect, position, new Quaternion()) as GameObject;
var psUpdater = currentInstance.GetComponent<PSMeshRendererUpdater>();

You can change scale of effect using tranform scale of gameObject.

Thank you s much in advance. I have so much on my plate right now with this game, and have recently had to make MAJOR changes for the sake of optimizations which is where im at right now with all these things like re-doing the FX :D

PlayMaker Help / Enter a name on the PS4

May I ask how one would enter a player name using PlayMaker for the PS4 ?

So what I am trying to do is give people the ability to name their Characters. I assume I than save it as a PlayerPrefsString ? But am Not sure how to do it and how to get the Keyboard on the PS4 to work with it and than have it display using UNITY 5.5 ugui ?

I would very much appreciate a little help. Thank you so much. :)

Does Playmaker have actions for PLAYABLE API ? So I can add animations or aniamtors at run-time... Not sure hot it works fully yet, but am very interested in this.

Hello I am experiencing an issue where my characters FSM goes into a [DISABLED] state ?

Ive never experienced this before ? My characters controls than get frozen and I dont know what to do ? Does anybody know what this means ? TY

PlayMaker Help / Triggers, send events on PS4 SOLVED

If anyone has any experience working on the PS4 do you know why my triggers are not working ?

I am moving a simple character using translate and when the hit box touches the other one it should send an event and tell it to stop. This works fine on the editor when testing on my PC but when testing on the PS4 it just goes through ?

Any thoughts ?

Hey everyone I am Building an All Female 3D Fighting game named FEMME FATALE!

hey everyone, I really needed a Joystick to work with playmaker and I am so happy I met this GUY!

HE IS AMAZING! And this is why I am promoting hes STUFF!!/content/42846

This just came out today, If you need a joystick this is the way to go! :D

PLAYMKER community we now have an awesome Joystick and an awesome guy that will help us ;D :D :D

Hey whats up everyone thanx for checking out my new game. This is the biggest game ive ever made, and the loooooooongest ive ever worked on a game lol (I think you guys can relate) so I am happy to have finished it, and hope you dig it. I really wanted to create a game that was a mixture between Little Big planet and Ratchet and Clank but with a crazy story line (Which if you ever beat i99 you will understand).


Help save Professor P.G., CEO and owner of the Orange Co. and inventor of the iBot, from A.I.A., A Malfunctioning artificial intelligence who is hell bent on keeping the Professor from completing he's latest project the "I-100"...


- To Bring the MENU up SWIPE DOWN to bring i99 Health Bar Down (Top Left corner) and than PRESS on it!
- To move to the RIGHT press and hold the Bottom RIGHT side of the screen.
- To move to the LEFT press and hold the Bottom LEFT side of the screen.
- To JUMP Swipe UP!
- SWIPE to the LEFT or RIGHT to dash.
- SWIPE to the LEFT or RIGHT while in the AIR to SIDE JUMP.
- SWIPE to the LEFT or RIGHT while in the AIR after getting hit!

(When on an accelerator-belt, i99 will automatically run)

iOS Help / Pause Issues ? (SOLVED)

Hello Playmaker :D

I am trying to make a pause menu (UNITY5) and so when the menu is DOWN I set the scale time to 0 n order to pause the game, and when the menu closes/ goes up, the scale returns to 100 - but than my character gets stuck in hes place. The buttons and animation still work, but he can move from that spot ?

Thoughts ?

(Sorry my bad I was setting up time to be 100 instead of 1) :|

Does anyone have any tips for me on how to create a Camera for a 3D fighter ?

So I posted this question in UNITYs forums and I got a response from a very nice gentleman who seems like he really knew whats up, And I was wondering if someone can help me interpret what he said in PlayMaker Talk... I do understand what he is saying but I wouldn't mind having some input from PM community :D

Here is hes response:

Create a script with a reference to both characters transforms and then finds the correct position every frame (in the Update method)

Lets assume the character references are called charA and charB.

First find the average position of the two characters (the position between them).
Vector3 middle = (charA.transform.position + charB.transform.position) / 2f;

Now find a direction perpendicular to the vector between the characters and also perpendicular to "up".
Vector3 betweenVector = charB.transform.position - charA.transform.position;
Vector3 perpendicular = Vector3.Cross(betweenVector, Vector3.up);

Move the "middle" position out along the perpendicular vector, and a bit up aswell
Vector3 targetCamPosition = middle + perpendicular * distance + Vector3.up * upDistance;

Now, to make things a bit smooth, don't move the camera directly to that position every frame, instead Lerp towards it.
camTransform.position = Vector3.Lerp(camTransform.position, targetCamPosition, Time.deltaTime * snappyness);

Finally, make the camera look at "middle"

Here's an implementation of this I whipped together:
