Playmaker Help / [SOLVED] Updating from Patch 4 to Patch 6

Hi, I'm unable to update Playmaker to Version 1.9.0 Patch 6.  I have downloaded the  latest version from the download link, but when I click to install I still see that its still on Patch 4.  Should I uninstall PM first, then try again?

Hi,
Can someone explain how I can make a simple button for touch.  I have tried using the OnClick() Runtime event thing, sending a string etc, but its not firing the event.
I'm obviously doing something wrong.  I just need a little help with it.  I'm using Playmaker 1.9 and in the UI actions,  I cant find anything that I could use to fire a touch event.  Please help, I'm going mad

Hi,
I have a 2d object moving from position A, to position B.

How do I get the object to move from position A, in the direction of position B?  So the object doesn't stop when it reaches B, it just keeps moving in the same direction.

Hi,  I have a gameobject at a vector 2 position, and a sprite in the UI.
How can I move the UI sprite to the vector 2 position, from the UI space?

Playmaker Help / Audio pitch from a sound clip in ArrayMaker

Hi,

I have a few sound clips in ArrayMaker.  I need to change the pitch, but I can only use "Set Audio Pitch" which needs an Audio Listener.  As I'm not using one because my sounds are in an Array, I have no way to change the pitch.  Is there a way to do this?

Hi,
I want to be able to set the X and Y values of a sprite sheet using the ParticleSystem.  I have an object variable (UnityEngine.ParticleSystem) but I cant get those X,Y values.  The only object that has those values, (UnityEngine.ParticleRenderer) is the old Legacy particles.

So, is it possible to get the Texture Sheet property from UnityEngine.ParticleSystem?

Hi,
I want to use a colorRamp, to go from 1 color to another, on the value of a float.

I have 2 floats, the (target) this is the value where I want the 2nd color to be at 100%
And (current)
So say, if the (target) is at 80 and the (current) is at 40, I want the 2nd color to be 50%
How can I do this?

Hi, I'm currently pooling everything I can to help performance, but I do use a lot of "Destroy Component" and "Add Component" Do these actions have any impact on performance, as in the same way as create/destroy gameobjects?

Playmaker Help / Ragdoll problem

Hi,
I have a simple character that dies, then I disable it, enable ragdoll at the characters position/rotation, let the ragdoll do its thing and disable ragdoll.
Then, I have the character spawn in a new position, but when it dies again, my ragdoll seems to spawn there or there abouts with its bones scaled incorrectly and it all looks wrong.
I've read some other ragdoll posts and I cant seem to find a solution for my problem.
Can anyone help me with where I'm going wrong?

I cant find what is logging that to the console, but it looks like it could be something to do with ArrayMaker, as I get them everytime I call the Arrays.

Playmaker Help / Random vector within a clamped area

Hi, I have 2 questions.
1. (see attached pic) At position (A) I want to set a random position (B) inside the red semi circle.  How can I clamp the random position so only a vector inside gets picked?

2.  Whenever (B) is picked, I'll be setting that position to the new origin (A), so then I can loop through it all again.  Problem is, I have a collider set at each side of the screen, (see 2nd pic) so if the origin (A) is close to one of the walls, I need to clamp the area so the random position cannot go past the collider.

I know this involves a bit of maths, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi just a quick math question..
How do I calculate the speed of an animation of a moving object that translates from point a to b?
So, if the animation is say 1 sec long and I'm moving at a distance of say 3 units, how can I set the animation so it starts at point a and finishes when it reaches point b?
And if the distances changes, so will the speed of the animation so it will "fit" the distance it travels.

Playmaker Help / Need help with smoothing Float[SOLVED]

I have a float value driving a Blend Tree in Mecanim.   Its just 3 states, idle, walk, run.  My problem is my float  (which is coming from a dragging input action) can at a certain speed, jumps between say idle and walk, until the dragging speed increases, so therefore the float increases and so then it'll jump between walk and run states.

I've tried using a low pass filter, lerping the float, but just cant get it working right.  Can someone help me smooth the float so it does not jump between my animation states. Thanks.
