PlayMaker Help / Issues moving project to new PC (PM adding events)

Hi, I hope someone can help out, I'm having a bit of a nightmare, I have a project which is quite large and working perfectly on my old PC. When I bring across the project to my new PC I am getting a weird issue:

Throughout the whole project, in every single action that an event can be specified (like Play Random Animation for example) that I had left intentionally blank there is now the Finish event. This means I have 600+ errors in each scene. Elsewhere, references to variables are being lost left right and centre.

I have tried many combinations of versions and I'm even getting the same issue when going from and to the same version (Unity 5.6.3p2)...

Any insight at all into this would be really helpful.

If anyone is capable of modifying the Play Sound action to include a 'spatial blend' slider (as Unity 5.2 defaults to fully 3D) that would be massively appreciated!

PlayMaker Help / [Solved] Photon: Sending RPC to a group of players

Hi all,

I would like to be able to assign players to a group and send a broadcast to all FSMs but only to that group of players... currently I have a system by which players are assigned an ID and the RPC call goes to all players but is only 'let through' if the ID matches however this is inefficient and seems risky.

Is there any way I can build a string of player IDs and broadcast to that string?

Hi,

So, really thinking hard about this one, but it must be possible, just not sure how to get the data, here's the scenario:

I would like the chat box to only be populated by chat messages coming from nearby players, I've recreated and modified the demo-worker chat functionality to work with uGUI and it works great.

What I think would work is (bold I'm stuck with):

RPC call comes in with the chat string
"Get Last Message Player Properties" identifies the sender-player's name
Identify the avatar that the sender-player inhabits
Test the distance, if it's within x units then continue to build the string
else, do nothing.

So, any ideas on how I can identify the players instance to check their distance?

Hi,

I am struggling with a small issue and there's probably an easy solution. I am spawning in players who currently use the same model, I'd like them to be able to independently change their material color using the color variable, however when they do this it changes all objects in the scene that use the material.

Is there any way (and judging by the forums there is not unless I'm missing something) that I can achieve this? The only thoughts I have are dead-ends so far:

1 - Each player spawns with a set of their own materials which are independent
2 - Playmaker generates a material instance (doesn't appear to be possible)

Any help, much appreciated!

Hi!

Maths is not my strong point, I'm getting confused when trying to figure out the difference between two float variables... one is a horizontal, one is a vertical, I want one float to win out against the other based on it's position from zero... so a X70 would win against a Y60 but a X50 would lose against a Y-55... Im staring at float operator and coming up blank.... the result needs to work within the one FSM and will be used within an animation graph. Hope you guys can help.

Hi there, I have an issue where the names of Playmaker states appear in the viewport when running the game (including building it), these do not show up when using a normal Unity camera, only using the Oculus cameras from the SDK... I definitely don't have gizmos turned on! Here's the screen shot:

Would anyone be able to help? I'm new to Playmaker so i could quite easily be missing something obvious.
