PlayMaker Help / suggestions for saving Arraymaker data[SOLVED]

hi ive used Arraymaker a few times in the past, but never needed to retain data between play sessions and would like to know if there is a way of doing so, i assumed there would be an action like export/import hash table or something, but im not seeing something that does that. How are people doing this? is it a separate addon package?

PlayMaker Help / i am having a problem using set fsm array item

i have an array which stores integer variables and i use Get FSM Array Item to retrieve the value, which i then subtract a number from that value and need to complete by returning the new value to the array. where this subtraction is taking place is on another object, and when i run this, the value returned is wrong and consistently get a result of 2 - 1 = 0. returning the value using Set FSM Int shows the correct result of 1, so i suspect that something is going wrong in the Set FSM Array Item action. does anyone else experience this problem?

edit: it seems that any number i pass thru the Set FSN Array Item results in 0

does anyone know how i can achieve what Get Axis Vector does, but let me use axis from Rewired?

i would like to have twin stick controls on a character and would need this to have the character face the direction the right stick points towards.

PlayMaker Help / Mecanim-Playmaker difficulties

i have been stuck on getting the Mecanim system to work properly, so i have several clips arranged Idle, walk, Run and Jump. i put a bool property for each of those (so walk_bool, run_bool, etc) and setup the transitions going from idle to walk, walk to run etc. set the condition for those transitions to use the properties i mentioned.

to my knowledge that is how i am supposed to have set it up and the rest should be handled by Playmaker. so using the actions in the playmaker Mecanim Animator package for Unity 5, i am able to change those properties (using action Set Animator Bool). i can see these properties change in the Mecanim Editor, but the current Mecanim state remains on Idle, when it should show the character walking, running and jumping.

have i missed something? and why are there no playmaker/mecanim animator tutorials for this?

PlayMaker Help / how can use 360 controller trigger buttons?

can anyone help me work this out?, i want to setup so that when i press 360 controller triggers they do things like make the character sprint or crawl. i understand that they work differently to the other buttons, because they are axis, so how could i achieve these results and what actions would do that?

these videos were great and very helpful in getting started with Playmaker, but i did have a couple questions about it.

i follow along, doing exactly what is done in the video, but the result i get is that the character will fall straight through the floor, unless i add a collider of some sort to the character, why is that? does the Character Controller not act as a collider?

the other question is, after setting up the WASD movement with the Get Axis Vector and Controller Simple Move, running the scene, the character moves, but the same way shown in the video here. my character rolls and rotates around, like moving forward will roll forward as opposed to the way Captain Awesome slides forward. the only way i know to stop this behavior is setting Kinematic to On, but in the video you have it set to Off. what is going on here?

i have some buttons that are set to switch between sprites when highlighted and clicked etc, i also need these buttons show the disabled sprite under certain circumstances and no idea how to set them to disabled. i have not yet upgraded from playmaker 1.772 and i was wondering if we have a way to do this in a newer version of playmaker?

PlayMaker Help / Question about using Get Property with Sprites

I am attempting to get the sprite being displayed by an Image in the uGUI and display it elsewhere by setting the sprite property of another Image to the original one.

The problem i've run into is that Get Property, when i drag the component that contains the targeted Sprite info, it wants me to store the result in a Object variable, but it does not let me pick ANY variable at all. am i doing it wrong?

hello, I am very new Playmaker and have been following the guide set out in the tutorial videos in which a player movement system is created using Get Axis Vector and Controller Simple Move on one Empty Object and then Mouse Pick is used on another empty object parented to the first and it worked as demonstrated and i am pleased with the results.

What i would like to modify to the way the player moves is that the player moves slower when walking backwards and strafing (side to side movement).

I thought i might achieve this by building up a bunch of triggers that tell which "direction" the player is facing at any time and those triggers will set the values of four Float variables corresponding to the WASD keys, but i am stumped as to how to put those variables through the Controller Simple Move as it has only one Speed.

Is there a way to make such alterations to the Controller Simple Move or is there an alternative method that allows more customization?
