Hey hey,

This is quite awesome!  WOuld you mind if I linked this and your blog on our HutongGames Facebook page? I'd love to show folks what people are making with the Playmaker toolset.

I too enjoyed running stuff over... and making that dukes of hazzard jump trying to know over that bowling pin formation of blocks...  ;D

Absolutely! Feel free to reference anything I post. You guys have an amazing product here, and I've been singing the praises left and right to everyone I come across who's interested in indie development. If I could be a showcase to that end, I'd be honored.

Also, I am about to start a mini-game for Easter 2011 (for my kiddos, of course) as well. I can post that here when I'm done if you'd like. I had just kind of expected to be stacking onto this post instead of making new ones every time I worked on a public PlayMaker project. Please let me know if that's not how you want this organized. I just didn't want to spam.

Feel free to spam us with new projects!  There's nothing wrong with having a new post for each new project! I suppose it's easier for folks to find!  You don't need to be conservative in your posting ;-)

hope that answers your question!

Thanks for sharing your tests!!

Could I add your Zombs test to our Facebook page?  I'd love to show folks what others are testing and learning on Playmaker.  Even with random bunnies and inside jokes  ;)

I loved the "pew" sound effects btw...

General Discussion / Re: Updated Wiki Docs
« on: April 16, 2011, 03:27:15 PM »
I know you guys are really busy making magic, but any chance that there will be an update to the Wiki docs soon?

We are in the process of updating the action references for 1.1 and we've just launched the Community Wiki. I posted details on joining in the Announcements section  :D

Hey everyone,

I know many folks have been talking about getting a user wiki going to share tutorials and actions and more, so we've gone and done just that.  We've started a Community Wiki for you, the awesome folks in the Playmaker Forum.

Community Wiki Link:

The Community Wiki is an offshoot of the main Help Wiki and as you can see it's in its INFANCY ;-)

What we need are interested folks who want to help build.  Yup, we want you.

Now, because Fogbugz is what it is, in order for you to contribute I'll have to set up Community accounts for everyone who is interested in being a contributor.

If you want to join, send a MESSAGE to denkiva (me) here on the forum with your:

First/Last name & email address.

Once I sign you up, you'll receive an email from FogBugz linking you to the password creation process and giving you access to the Community Wiki.

This is new to us as well so we ask your patience as we sort this all out and get the ball rolling!

Thanks so much!

Made the code font bigger.  You see originally I assumed our userbase would consist of hummingbirds and ant-people... But I see that I misjudged you all.. Can everyone see it okay?  :o

Code: [Select]

color: #000000;
background-color: #dddddd;
font-family: "courier new", "times new roman", monospace;
font-size: small;
line-height: 1.3em;
/* Put a nice border around it. */
border: 1px solid #000000;
margin: 1px auto 1px auto;
padding: 1px;
width: 99%;
/* Don't wrap its contents, and show scrollbars. */
white-space: nowrap;
overflow: auto;
/* Stop after about 24 lines, and just show a scrollbar. */
max-height: 24em;

I can make it bigger if need be :-), like for dinosaurs and Titans...

Seriously, need to be able to read the code on this site.

Heya,  I totally agree with you guys... code font is waaaaaay small.  Looking for a way to address this one. So far I've only been able to add color to code fonts (yeah, not sure if that is useful...)  ... if anyone has some tips on how to do this (or any SMF add ons that help to modify code font size/provide more flexibility etc)  let me know!   this solution is a work in progress!

Forum Suggestions / Re: "Tutorials" topic
« on: April 13, 2011, 09:26:34 AM »
a topic is missing, maybe in Help & Tips. There should be "Tutorials" topic where users of PlayMaker can post their own tutorials there.   ;)

excellent idea!  We'll add one in!

Here's the first test i did. More to come..

edit: both are very simple test just to see how iTween run.
Now i need to focus on some logic and math operation to get stuff mixed togheter.

Heya,  I know these are your tests, but would you mind if we posted them on our Facebook page?  I'd love to show folks what our users are doing, even if it is just sorting out how to do things :-)

Yes, I'd say not bad at all! (quite awesome actually!)  Having to beat folks away is also pretty awesome :-)  Glad it went well and thanks for giving folks a view of Playmaker in action :-) Can't wait to see your footage!  ;D ;D
