PlayMaker Bug Reporting / 2018 style prefabs and Templates
« on: March 06, 2019, 03:22:59 AM »
I have a prefab with an FSM on that uses a template. Say the FSM has a public GameObject variable called Marker.

IF I edit the template so that Marker is now called Location, the template doesn't update in the prefab. I can hit refresh and it'll update as expected, but it won't save this refresh. If I close the prefab, then open it again, it will have Marker, not Location.

To fix this I have to refresh, and then modify a transform or another value to get the change to save to the prefab.

Unity: 2018.3.2f1
PlayMaker 1.9.0.p7 and p9

I have sumbmitted a bug with the same tile at this post via the PlayMaker/Tools feature.

Hi Thank you, I just updated to the latest I could get to (p9 from my downloads link) and it still persists.

I'll write a bug report :-)

Edit: Bug report submitted and forum bug here:

PlayMaker Help / New Prefabs and Templates
« on: March 05, 2019, 07:57:22 AM »
Hello,

I am using Unity 2018.3.2f1
I am using Playmaker 1.9.0.p7

I maybe be missing something really obvious, but:

I have a prefab with an FSM on that uses a template. Say the FSM has a public GameObject variable called Marker.

IF I edit the template so that Marker is now called Location, the template doesn't update in the prefab. I can hit refresh and it'll update as expected, but it won't save this refresh. If I close the prefab, then open it again, it will have Marker, not Location.

To fix this I have to refresh, and then modify a transform or another value to get the change to save to the prefab.

Is this a bug or do I need to have clicked a preference somewhere?

Thanks,
Gaz

PlayMaker Help / Re: Video player get a url video's length[SOLVED]
« on: October 10, 2018, 03:24:46 AM »
Hi Jean,

I'm having the same problem, I've updated the "video clip get length" action from the eco system, and it's still not getting a length.

It was working fine when using "Video Clip" but using a URL is returning 0 on the clip (the clip has loaded and is playing fine).

Edit:
Turns out that "Get video clip length" won't work for URL, and Jean updated the script "Video Player Get Frame Count"

For a URL video clip, to work out the length I did the following:
