Playmaker Help / Taking a Screenshot in WebGL build
« on: February 07, 2017, 09:10:12 AM »
Hi Forum,

I'm curious to see if anyone can solve an issue I am having. I have a game setup that uses 'Take Screenshot' at the end of the level to screenshot a certificate that you earn at the end of the game.

It works perfectly fine within the Unity engine but when it is built out (As a WebGL file) and placed to a website, the screenshot doesn't show up in the pictures folder.

If anyone can shed any light on this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Playmaker Help / Mouse Look and set position
« on: February 10, 2016, 09:28:47 AM »
Hi forum,

I am currently using a camera that is focused on a still position when the game starts. What I have on it is a camera movement and mouse look to give it a first person feel. My issue is this:

When I start the game, I have the components for the scripts and the FSM's disabled, which I want because I want the camera to be still. Then, on a key press, it activates these components to give you control of the camera to be able to move around the scene. I am recording the scene as still and then the key press will cause the scene to come alive, and give me access to move as I record this live scene.

I was hoping for it to be a seamless transition but instead, what is happening is the camera is reseting its rotations to 0 from the rotations I have set up when the scene starts. I have tried using set rotation but I think that mouse look is overriding it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Playmaker Help / Egg Catch
« on: December 14, 2015, 09:36:02 AM »
Hi all,

I have been building a replica of the egg catch game from the M2H example that was created sometime ago. To understand it, I have coppied the playmaker and have come to an issue that I was wondering if I could get some help for.

In the example, it uses the action 'GUILayout Int Label' I am wondering if there is anyway to move the GUI object with a set position or anything like that so I can put a different GUI label on the other side of the screen at all?

Thanks in advance.

When I run the FSM the plane with the material goes black. I am just using a standard Youtube URL.

Playmaker Help / WWWObject [SOLVED]
« on: November 17, 2014, 09:02:17 AM »
Hi forum,

I am currently looking at using WWWObject. The issue I am having is after setting up the WWWObject with the URL and the Set Movie texture, then assigning the Movie texture, I am going into a final state that has the action of Play Movie Texture, the video is not playing however.

My set up is that everything is on a manager, specifying the game object as a plane with an audio component attached. The first state is an Idle that waits for 10seconds. The second state just has the WWWObject with the youtube URL and a Movie texture object variable. The third state is Set Material Movie Texture with a material called TV, the Video object variable and the specified plane and then the final state has Play movie texture with the video variable assigned to it.

Playmaker Help / Re: Int Add SOLVED
« on: April 11, 2014, 04:34:39 AM »
Moments after I posted this, I realised I could just used Set Int Value and set it to 0 in my start up state when the level reloads. I added in a Wait of 0.1 just to move the state over.

Playmaker Help / Int Add
« on: April 11, 2014, 04:28:06 AM »
So, I have a game that gives you 4 questions with 4 possible answers for each question. It is set up so out of the 16 possible answers, if you get 6 incorrect choices. So in Q1 if the answer was 4 and you pressed 1, 2, and 3, it will add to the Int making the int 3. It then comparees that int to 6 and on 6 it loads a game over.

The problem is, when you choose to reload the scene, the Int value is still 6 so if you get another wrong answer it loads the game over after 1, rather than 6. Is there any way that I can reset the Int value to 0 when the scene reloads in Playmaker or will I need to script it? (I can't write script by the way xD)

Regards,

Playmaker Help / Drag and Drop objects
« on: October 31, 2013, 05:08:43 AM »
Hello all,

I'm currently working on a game that includes dragging and dropping objects into buckets, I am aware that it requires a mouse pick but I'm not sure how to set the FSM up. I know as much as using the mouse input and setting the object position to the location of the Vec3 variable. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Playmaker Help / Re: Cubes as health (Update)
« on: September 02, 2013, 03:59:39 AM »
To update,

I have found an action called 'Get next child' that I can now put my life bar cubes into so it now runs through the manager and applies logic to it. However, once the last cube cube deactivates the game is still running. Is there any way to get the logic to fire an event when the last cube disappears?

Playmaker Help / Cubes as health
« on: September 02, 2013, 03:34:05 AM »
Hi forum,
I have a query that I was wondering whether people could give me a hand with.

I have 10 cubes that are set in the corner of the screen to give a health bar. As the player encounters something negative the trigger will send a global event to the manage for the health cubes that then does the following logic.

Idle State (Handles receiving the sent event) > Blink the cube and wait for 0.7 seconds > Deactivate the blinking cube (I went for deactivate to work in the health system to bring them back.

What I want the manager to do is to then get the next cube, so the 9th cube along and run it through the same logic. I can do it by repeating the logic 9 more times, I'm just wondering if there is an easier way using managers, much like the number based health system in the Youtube tutorial.

Playmaker Bug Reporting / Can't click states.
« on: March 05, 2013, 09:15:15 AM »
Hey guys,

This may have been answered already, if it has could someone point me to the post.

My problem is, when I am done editing states and I click play, I play with game view maximised. What happens is, when I come out of play mode, I can click a state but I can't do anything else with it e.g. move it around or add transitions, it is just as though the fsm just locks me out from it. Restarting Unity works but can become quite annoying when I have to test game view multiple times.

I'm on the newest version of playmaker.

Thanks.

Playmaker Help / Updating from a Download link [SOLVED]
« on: March 04, 2013, 01:03:28 PM »
Hey guys,

Just wondering, if playmaker was downloaded from the site store, with the e-mail to it. Rather than purchased through the Unity Asset store. Will an email go out for updated version in the future?

I know that in the Unity Asset store, it tells you in your recent downloads if there is a new update available for assets downloads.

Playmaker Help / Pan, zoom and Rotate a game object
« on: February 26, 2013, 06:46:36 AM »
Hey guys,

I was demonstrating some things that I have done with playmaker to a friend and they loved it. They do 3d design and create models so they asked if it were possible to create a pan, zoom and rotate using the mouse. The zoom I can do, I just used the zoom tutorials to finish that. However, I’m having a bit of trouble actually getting the object to pan and rotate with the clicks.

For the pan, I’m thinking that you set a mouse pick on mouse down then loop it back for the mouse button up, how does that sound? Secondly, for the rotate, I might be able to talk him into allowing the use of sliders, as they offer some great control for objects but would they be any particular way to get an object to rotate when you click and hold one of the mouse buttons down and move it around?

Thanks.
