Thank you!

I know!! Im really struggling with size. I researched for a few days.
I ended up down-resing all the images to 1k in Unity, which is not great for a static pages app.
Still. I do have only around 30Mb of assets.  But the app still ends up compiling into 200+.
I read that part of that is the apple bitcode support?? I assume the rest is all libraries??
But if you guys have any other suggestion, happy to hear it!!! :)

Sorry for the delay. I did not receive a notification here.
Thank you both!
I did run some research and talked to a couple of doctors.
To be honest, the inspiration was partially from personal experiences. And partially from talking to people.
We all seem to be prone to mood swings. :)
Kids at school usually have a diary to keep track of their life.
So that was the idea behind the design.
But then i used the data to try to find patterns. Hoping that could actually help people.... :)

Thank you for such a support to the forum, Monsieur.
Quite appreciated myself.

If I knew you guys were developing a dice app, we could have joined forces.. ;)
This is mine... it also allows for putting custom text and photos on the dice faces.

But no AR support... ;)

Maybe some option to think about to add to your nice and polished version.
It would be quite easy to do with Playmaker.

I sure could... not sure why I didnt think about it.
Maybe I felt the urge to hurl myself into that wall.

Thank you!

EDIT:
And I ended up learning how to cast. So updated the question above as well, in case it helps anyone.

PlayMaker Help / SOLVED Get array value as an integer
« on: April 13, 2018, 10:39:21 PM »
Super newbie question.
Trying to collect the first index of the largest integer under an array.

How does one collect array values in the first place... ahahahah
I tried to copy a few options.
I cant get this to work no matter how i switch variable types around.
Or. How do you cast them??

EDIT: the code solution below as well...

        private void DoGetIndex()
        {
            if (array.IsNone)
            {
                return;
            }

            currentIndex = 0;
            tmpValue = 0;
            finalIndex = currentIndex;
            arrayLength = (int)array.Length;

            if (arrayLength == 1)
            {
                index.Value = currentIndex;
            }
            else
            {
                while (currentIndex < arrayLength)
                {

                    arrayValue = (int)array.Get(currentIndex);

                    if (arrayValue > tmpValue)
                    {
                        tmpValue = arrayValue;
                        finalIndex = currentIndex;
                    }
                    currentIndex++;
                }

                index.Value = finalIndex ;

            }
        }

Ah!
Brilliant... But thank you, Sir!!!!!

I also just now ended up cheating a bit and tried building a new Replace function forcing the new line in there... which also did the trick... i guess desperation is the mother of invention ;)
Attached here (but i can take it down if against policies...!)

PlayMaker Help / new line into UGui Text Set Text (again?) [SOLVED]
« on: November 24, 2017, 03:14:48 PM »
I apologize up front.
I played with Playmaker for a couple of months and got 90% of my app done flawlessly. Xmls, multiple canvases interaction, animated sprites and all. But I feel like a complete newbie asking this.

I browsed the forum up and down and tried as many suggestions I could find. But for whatever reason I still cannot get to replace a comma in a string variable with a new line, and use that to set a Text component.
I can see the comma getting replaced, but the text always ends up being shown as one line.

I could use the StringAddNewLine action. But my string is actually made out of about 30 lines, comma divided. Before having to enter each one into an Element of that action I would like to find out the more elegant solution.

I tried StringSplit the comma into a StringJoin using any combination of new line shortcut separators I know of and/or found around.
  \\n //n \\r\\n //r//n \r\n /r/n <br>
As well as manually copying a new line from a text editor and pasting it into the separators or a variable.
To no avail.

I also tried a simple BuildString with all the same options. Same failure.

I tried a StringReplace. Same.

Reading the forum, i understand this "may" be a limitation of how Unity2017 ingests strings.

But given that I can add my own new line text directly into the component.
I thought to ask here Im not missing something obvious. So...

Given a very long variable string like this:
a,b,c,...,...

How could one programmatically break that to set UGuiTextSetText's Text so that the component resolves:
a
b
c
...
...

Please.... :)
Im using Playmaker 1.8.5 on a mac and Unity2017

PlayMaker Help / Re: SOLVED - Trouble storing an XML Reference into a Proxy
« on: September 08, 2017, 07:53:57 PM »
aaaaaaahhhh I see... Thanks djaydino

In which case.. bless you for the tutorials... and Jean for the add-on.
You guys are superstars in my books. :0
This addon is really an amazing must-have feature to have at disposal.

Im not new to xml or coding. And I may pop up with a couple more questions here and there. But after a couple of days of back and forth I finally got all to work. I think i got the gist of those nodes now.
Especially thanks to you, again. Thanks for supporting the forum and community!

And just as I wrote that. I got the XMl Create Node to work.
It looks like it was all about refreshing the proxy. As in the tutorial online.
So I still miss the docs... but Ill eat some of my own words with some strawberries...
