Playmaker Help / Object Pool Count

Hello !

I am gonna use this scene for my mobile games. This scene already having 1000+ objects. Now, I like to spawn people all over the city. I have 20 people models now.

I like to have 3 clones on pool for each objects and will spawn random. People will be de-spawn when they die and re spawn again.

Scene already having 1000+ objects. Is it okey to have another 100 objects in Pool ?
I heard having lot of objects in Pool will slowdown the game on mobile.

I wanna share this project on Youtube. Now, before exporting unitypackagae, I have to delete Version folder & Install folder only right?

No need to remove playmaker.dll & playmakereditor.dll right?

I did it.
Once Installed Preview version, I deleted Versions folder & Install folder. Then, opened that as new folder. I see preview version only. When I hit Install Playmaker, It said Coulnd't Install or something. it is working :)

Hi !

I wanna push the enemy when I hit him.
I have 2 Cubes. One me and another Navmesh agent. When every time I collide with him, he should be pushed to a cert in distance.

Case 1 : if he come towards and hit me, he should pushed back.
case 2: if he running and I chase him. When I hit that time, He should pushed forward .

How can do it ?

iTween no longer supported.
You can use Dotween from Asset store & Dotween Actions.

Once downloaded above folder, Delete this file Assets/Dotween Actions/DotweenPathTransformTo.cs


There is a paid asset on Asset called Playmaker Actions for DOTween by Doozy

You don't need to kill the project anyway ;)

Hi !

I am looking for a crowd function.
Pls see this Short Video :

When Player touches neutral objects, They should be Player's team and should Follow Player.

What I did >
1. Once Player collided neutral Object, It become child of Player.
Result : It gave weird movement.

2. I set neutral object as Nav mesh agent and once Player hit them, They will follow Player. (Navmesh agent destination as gameobject  ==> I set Player as destination)

Result : Much better result. But, All AI's hitting Player and Player flying on Air. Disable rigidbody, got nice results. But, Still speed problems.

Anyone have better idea to make it more better ?

Hi !

I got first client to make a game for him :)

My doubt is, Once I finished the project, Should I send project with Playmaker folder or Should I send without Playmaker and ask him to buy Playmaker license for him? He doesn't have Playmaker.

What you can do though is just simply have a Bool if the spawn point is empty or full.  If its false or empty just spawn the object that is set to spawn there again and set the Bool to true until its pick up again.

Yes, I did. I couldn't get it done perfectly.
Btw, How to check spawnpoint empty or not ?

Currently, I solved this issue by having a Trigger on Spawnpoint, If no trigger detected, spawn new object.

Still, wanna know how to check spawnpoint empty or no via bool?

I have few spawn points in map. On those spawn points guns & power ups will spawn. Once player picked that, spawnpoint become empty.

How can I check for empty spawn points and If it's empty, spawn another object there?

You can also have a fsm on the bullet with a (int or string) variable.
On spawning the bullet use set fsm string/int. and give it the player name or nr that spawned the bullet.

on impact get the variable to know from who the bullet was.

Side note: for the bullets you should use pooling, do not create/destroy its bad for performance.

1. When bullet spawns, get owner of bullet (the player).
2. When bullet hits, store player it hit.
3. Send both info over to a score keeper, e.g. using the event info, set event data pair.  Depending on mechanics, only when kill, every time etc.

Compute that data in the score keeper. Make yet another FSM that gets that data from score keeper, and updates the UIs.

Finally, Did it.

BTW, I increased Players count to 10. Is it okey to add 100 Bullets to Pool ? Each Player will have different rifles.

Just realized that Z-axis of gun doesn't matter.
What I set is , Travel Bullet in Z-axis in World space. I set World Space to Self. Now, working fine.

Hours of struggle came to an end ;)
