I managed to fix this myself after looking at the the actions I was using.

Instead of using "Activate Game Object" to show the game over screen, I used "Set Property" to set the text box's Active property. Why did I do that? I have no idea...

Resolution should be the same. It's ridiculously small, like 405x300 if I remember correctly.

To show the screen, I only activate the GameObject in the canvas and de-activate the rest of the UI that was there before (just a text box showing the score).

The screen looks like this:

The text boxes are all individual boxes that are children of one GameObject which is itself a child of the Canvas object. Could it be this nested structure that breaks it?

I'm at work atm but I'll upload a shot of the states when I get home.

Hi there,

I just uploaded my little game to as they support webgl games.
Works nicely except for one thing: my Game Over screen (which consists of a couple of non-editable text boxes) doesn't show.
And because one of the text boxes waits for the player to press a key to restart the game, the game can't be restarted unless you reload the page.

Any ideas? :(

Hi there,

I've made an array from a number of GameObjects (empty ones just for their positional information). I then get a random entry from that array and I want to get the respective GameObject but all I get is a the index which is a float.

Is there a way to get the correspondent GameObject rather than the index?

Hi there,

I'm working on a project for Melon Game Jam.
This is entirely made wth Playmaker: player and enemy movement, item interactions, "character" interactions, controlling animations.

I'm pretty much at home in Unreal but for small, potentially mobile/phone projects I'm trying to learn Unity so this is still pretty much me learning Unity and Playmaker.
So here's the player with a patrolling enemy and their "interaction":

Hi there,

I want to have a GameObject look at the position the player is touching/clicking the screen. That's simple enough to do.
However, I want the look at to be updated as long as the left mouse button is held or the finger is on screen.

What would be the best way to do this?

My idea was to set a global boolean and check it in another FSM. Whenever I detect that it's true I would then update the look at direction, wait for 0.x seconds and check the boolean again. This seems like a very dirty hack, though...

Hey there,

I've created some HUD elements via 'GameObject ->UI -> [...]' and they work great in the editor but I've now tried it on Android for the first time and none of the HUD elements (just text, really) were visible.

Has anyone seen anything like that before? Or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

So I just deleted a bunch of things, re-installed Playmaker and during the installation I already saw some files with 'array' in their names.
No idea what went wrong before but it seems to be working now...

Well, I'm using Unity 5.4, Playmaker 1.8.3 and I tried ArrayMaker 1.1.5 which resulted in lots of compiler errors and my project not running anymore.

I was going to use it for a simple inventory but it looks like I'll have to find a way around it...

EDIT: I just tried it on my PC at work with the same versions (well, Unity 5.3.x) and it works. Guess I'll have to try some trickery tonight...
