Ok- do you want to export from a skinned mesh renderer or a normal mesh renderer?

Hmm that Unity code includes "using UnityEditor;" so that code sample doesn't work at runtime-

It says " Currently a custom importer/exporter needs to be written in order to do so, as the FBX Exporter is Editor only."

I'm not that good at coding yet but I'll see what I can do  :)

Do you want to export to .fbx or to .obj like the sample link you posted?

btw: I really like your Cutsceneartist site. Its the most helpful/useful site I've found when it comes to real time filmmaking stuff so thanks  :)

I made a game that makes weird animations that uses Playmaker a lot

Its called "Nightmare Puppeteer" and now available on Steam

I used Playmaker for all the state management.... if anyone is interested in learning about how I used Playmaker in it let me know and I'll do a little breakdown. Thanks.

I've done benchmarks using the system with Behavior Designer which shows significant performance gains- haven't done any Playmaker tests yet.

From my other tests you don't really see any noticeable gains unless you are using hundreds of instances- though it will always prevent cpu spikes by limiting the number of updates run-

Hello Playmakers  :)

I recently made a few scripts for a friend who wanted to use the asset MasterScheduler to update their fsm's- this is for performance purposes- it allows you to throttle your fsm's-

It would only be useful if you are having performance problems because you are using a lot of really heavy fsm's or hundreds/thousands of them-

Are you using a Navmesh agent?

I found the proper way to do it with a NavMesh agent is to also use a rigidbody- this is the way I do it now-

So when the agent is hit you switch off the NavmeshAgent- then enable the rigidbody + add a physics force and let that play out for a bit- this way agents can fall from heights etc-

I'll make a new version of this that incorporates that and post it here soon-

Hello- the dev had asked me to make some Motion Controller PM actions some time ago but I didn't end up getting to that-

If there aren't any PM actions for Motion Controller at this time let me know and I'll make some if you let me know which actions would be the most useful- thanks  :)

Hey there sorry for the late reply- haven't been on the forum in months as I was lost in C# land  :)

It's not supposed to have that line- I'll take a look at the action tomorrow and see if I can update it + re-upload it

I'm glad it's useful- I have a ton of custom Playmaker actions and Behavior Designer tasks I've made over the past year so I'll prob be adding some new stuff here too-

As a Playmaker user the biggest thing for me has been learning basic programming to make custom actions and front end scripts for Playmaker so I will really focus on that-

I create Playmaker tutorials for my Strange School- example here

I'm going to make some new tutorials covering some advanced Playmaker topics including- hash tables/dictionaries, enums, xml, run fsm, custom actions, programming basics for playmaker-

Please post some topics you want me to include- are there any advanced topics you can't find many examples/tutorials for? Please let me know- thanks.

I think what the Opsive forums does is a good idea- you must submit your invoice# for the asset to register

Don't know if this is your issue but its one I ran into with FinalIk and Playmaker-

When working with Final Ik- you have to make it so Look at scripts or others that alter the objects FinalIk is affecting execute after Final Ik-

As far as I know you are not able to do this with Playmaker actions at this time-

In order to make them work correctly they should have their script execution order a lower priority than FinalIk-

To do this I used a regular C# look at script instead of a Playmaker action-
