I've had a go for a few hours trying to get drag and drop working and I can't get it working. But I was wondering if anyone could help with making a simplified version of this app idea?

1. There are 12 buttons. Each button has an audio clip assigned to it. The audio clips are as follows.
Funk Rhythm Guitar in 2 second phrases.
One in E
One in F
One in FSharp
One in G
One in GSharp

You get the idea.

2. There are 16 slots and when the play button is clicked the first slot will play, then after the first slot has played the second slot will play, and so on.

3. The user can click the 12 buttons in any order. When they are clicked the audio linked to the 12 buttons are linked to the 16 slots in the order they are pressed.

I click button A, Then B, Then B , then D, Then A, Then D,

By clicking play the audio would play as follows.

I have done this sort of but not using Playmaker and I dunno how to transfer this across. I also feel that the script i did was inefficient as i used a unity feature of add.sequence. Then had the play button play the info that was stored in the sequence.

Issues with this was that there was a millisecond delay between each audio clip

But because this is an audio app and timing is critical delays are unacceptable! D:

I need some help please! :D

"Warning" : I Have 0% skill in Scripting or the syntax of scripting. I am just a 3D modeller and Animator / Drummer / Guitarist . Hehe

Ive been thinking.

I think what I need is something like this.

At the start audio_1 is waiting for an input. I can click any button and audio_1 is assigned an audio clip that was related to the button. Then State 2 with audio_2 is waiting for an input. Click any button etc.

Unfortunatly for me I dont understand how this would work. I suppose I'm just not logically or technically minded. I just dont need any way of doing something like this at all. :(

Hi guys. Although I am tackling the RPG idea my main focus is on getting a project for uni to work.

Its a Music app which allows people to make their own backing tracks to practise to. For guitarists, drummers and bassists.. Even singers, Pianists. All sorts.

I'm trying to get this working :

3 Tracks. Each track has 16 slots. By Default each slot has a blank audio file.. So if the play button was hit.. You wouldnt hear anything.

But what I dont know how to get to work is the ability to click, drag and drop 1 Object onto another and have the dropped object replace what was there.

eg.. Pick up A and drop A onto B. B turns into A

Then... *sigh*

I need a way for the 16 slots to play audio.. 1 by 1 from left to right

Any advice for this sort of stuff? :P

Ive done all the audio and UI designs but I just cant get the scripting to work and could do with some assistance :(

PlayMaker Help / Making a 2D RPG Sprite Based game.

Hiya guys.

I've figured in order to learn Playmaker and to also end up with a decent game at the end I'm going to try making a 2D RPG. No isometric but 100% top down.

A Grid based world with blocky characters.. But characters which aren't locked to the grid that the world is lock in.

Only problem is I've never really made a game with Unity before. Ive made a 3rd person and then a first person games where you can run about and look at stuff but never have i made a function game really.

I've done all the tutorials for Playmaker that I can find but I am looking for some advice on making a Game which uses sprites for everything. Animations, Buildings, Characters etc..

Are there any Assets I could get? Ive looked at Sprite Manager and another one but I'm unsure which does what I need? :)

Also Anyone know of any Programs that are useful for making Sprites?

Any info is much appreciated :)!

Arron :)

I was just thinking of an example of games that Im trying to sort of take ideas from.

Think Terraria but from a top down perspective.
Or maybe Cortex Command but top down :)

I'm Arron. I'm from Leeds of the UK.

I'm finishing my final year of Games Design at Uni and am yet to do any scripting or any actualy Games Design. The course has taught me how to model , texture and animate basically...

Got Unity and Playmaker and hope to be able to make some fun and interesting games with it.

I'm currently toying with the idea of making a 1st Person RPG like Skyrim :)

Ive got 50 pages of documentation for it and I'm trying to get my head around scripting and games design. I can navigate Unity well but scripting to me is very difficult. So Playmaker is a good choice for me! Just need to make things that are related to my project idea and make progress :D

PlayMaker Help / Re: 3rd Person Character Movement

this tutorial is very useful however.

I have set my own up following a mixture of the tutorials.

My character can strafe left to right and move forwards and backwards and ive added the camera to the sphere as a child and made the mouse rotate the character and as the character rotates so does the camera..

1. The Capsule rotates up and down when I look up and down :P. Like a rocking egg or something hehe.
2. I cannot jump.. Atleast not as I would hope the jumping to work.. Or would jumping be more related to the animations when I get them in.

Maybe a little details as to what I am trying to achieve :D

I am looking for a camera setup similar to the Witcher 2 or Like World Of Warcraft... but with the Right mouse button held down.. Its like a 1st Person camera functionality but from a 3rd person perspective.

Maybe look at the game Tera. The MMO from Japan. Thats the sort of thing I am aiming for. I am getting together a prototype for an RPG I've written up :)

Hi guys. Bought this asset and its wonderful. I can model, texture and sort of animate but I cannot script to save my life! So thank you for this wonderful asset / package thingy!!

Ok I have made a 3rd person controller attached to a sphere. I figured out how to make the camera follow the sphere. I also figured out how to make the sphere face the direction of the mouse like a 3rd person controller. (No Mouse Showing type setup)..

But I can't figure out how to make the Character "Sphere" Jump?!

Ive tried Force but that only works on Ridgid bodies and Ridgid + Controller = a No no :P

Ive tried translate but then my character just zooms up into the air and keeps going forever :P

Any advice or tips :)?
