PlayMaker Help / PUN setup (Lobby + VS menu)
« on: October 24, 2018, 11:31:57 AM »
Let me start off by saying that I have been able to create and join rooms with separate buttons, but I need a more tailored Multiplayer setup.

In my game players will select a room from the Lobby (Please see attached 'Lobby')

Next, players will be placed in a 'VS' Menu (Please see attached 'VS' Menu)

This is what I need help with:

1. Show player count in a specific room.
    Example: Room 1 player count = 63
                   Room 2 player count = 22

2. How to create and join a room with a single button.

Thanks :)

PlayMaker Help / Set Animation curve key value
« on: August 25, 2017, 05:42:33 AM »
I was wondering if there was an action out there that let's me edit the animate float curve value in real time and adjust according to a float. I just need access to the curve key values. I posted a picture to explain better.

I think it has something to do with this ---> AnimationCurve.Evaluate

PlayMaker Help / Default Variables - Easy Save 2

I'm using ES2 with Playmaker.

It's all working great, I was just wondering how to reset all my saved data to Playmaker default variable value. So when I launch, all the values are as they should be.

PlayMaker Help / Re: NGUITools.Destroy - REQUEST

Wow, that was fast!

Thank you so much, I usually post on the request forum, but that part is a lot quieter ;)

I will def check out the link too as NGUI actions are priceless for my development process.

PlayMaker Help / NGUITools.Destroy - REQUEST[SOLVED]
« on: August 09, 2017, 04:38:19 AM »
Hey Devs,

So basically we have the NGUITools.Addchild action that allows us to spawn prefabs into NGUI tables, but we don't have NGUITools.Destroy to destroy items in tables.
The regular destroy action doesn't work as mentioned here.

I found a workaround,

I created an array of gameobjects and fetched them by index.
But it's worth noting that the resources load is not working with storing
prefabs into Gameobject variables.

So this is solved but not solved, so I'm leaving it as unsolved.

I just wanted to add that I have tried with other variable types,
and as my luck would have it, all the others I tested worked.

BUT Prefabs won't store as Gameobjects...

any ideas?

So the title says it all,

The Resources Load action seems to find the Prefab I am referencing, but it does not store the Prefab into my pre-defined Gameobject Global Variable.

I have attached an image so it's more clear.

I need help as this is how I want to Save and Load Gameobject variables.

PlayMaker Help / Re: NGUITools.MarkParentAsChanged

Yeah Updating the table with a checkmark is quite standard. When you reparent objects into a new table, the checkmark doesn't behave the same way, I spoke to the creator of NGUI and he told me that this is the action I have to make use of.
So if anyone could help that would be really helpful.

I was wondering if I could put in a request which is rather urgent, I need it before Tuesday :/  (I have a meeting with a potential investor)

I am aware that there is an action called NguiToolsAddChild, and I was hoping
someone could make an action for NGUITools.MarkParentAsChanged.

This action will help when I reparent a gameobject into a table, so that the table will update it's items inside.

Thanks a million if you can help me out in time!

Action Requests / Re: On Trigger Stay (for x amount of time)
« on: January 04, 2017, 09:36:18 AM »
I know this is an old topic, but I searched for this on the ecosystem and I could not find it, what is the action called exactly?

I followed Jeans link, but 'Send Event from State' is not the described action in this post. I need a trigger event stay action where I can set how long the stay time is.

PlayMaker Help / Re: Set Tag to a string variable (SOLVED)

Nevermind this topic,

I have achieved a work around.

Is there anyway to reference a string variable that isn't a preset Tag?

That's what I need to achieve.

Can anyone help me?

If I can't set a string variable as a Tag then why does it give me the option to use a string variable?

Is it possible to set a string variable as a tag?
I need it because the game has to be dynamic, so I don't
have to hard code everything.
