You have to think about the experience data, how you will calculate it, how you will give it and how you will store it. Also you can have things that will be dependant on the amount of experience you have for ex. armor or weapons.

Is it a small game? Is it offline only or is it online?

Don't use global variables unless you really have to. Definitely not for a skill management system. There are other ways that you can send information there and back to different FSMs. You can access other FSMs by getting their gameobjects and you can also use events.

Okay, seems like problem is solved. The resolution of the image was too big, i was 4000 by 3400 i think. I resized the image to 800 and it's loading smoothly. It's going to be a pain though to resize +400 images, does anyone know any program that can do this all at once?

Tag is the reference name of the variable you are saving in ES2 file. If it's dynamic then it could be your object's name, it's up to you how you want to name it.

63% from PlaymakerFSM.Update() and 34% from SpriteMeshGenerator.TraceShape

Hi there,

I'm trying to download a texture using the WWWSprite action, however it causes the app to freeze for 2-3 seconds which isn't very nice. I though it may be that it wasn't in a coroutine but after making it inside of one it still didn't help.

In the profiler most of the memory takes up the SpriteMeshGenerator.TraceShape 19% and FSM Late Update 52%

Hi there,

I recently made a little script that handles menu and I used stack for it, it works quite well however I'm wondering if there is stack in playmaker, there are lists, arrays but couldn't find anything like stack.

Hi there

You need to use the on button click event action, if you don't have it download eco system and get it from there.

Then you get that speed variable and set it to desired value.

You can have 4 states, one with button event, and then if button is clicked it goes to state 2 and sets the value to run like 30, then you setup another state with button event again, if button is clicked go to first state, then at the top of the first state you can put default value like 16.

Singletons my friend. For things that manage stuff like controllers, managers etc it's a must pretty much to make it a singleton, what that means is that there will be only one instance of that script/object active at all times.

For saving stuff like progress you can use player prefs, xml or json, and if you don't want to handle it all by yourself then buy something like Easy Save 2, it includes encryption too, so your values will be harder to hack.

After cleaning the prefs, they all stay locked, however as soon as I purchase a bundle that unlocks two categories it goes crazy again. It seems like a dirty workaround I might look into creating an action for this and see if it makes a difference.

Bundle ID variable is empty and string length is 0.

the variable is taken out from xml, it has no space in actual XML file. just empty attribute

Hi there

I'm getting a very weird behavior on player pref has key and get int.

Basically, even though the has key should be false, it's always true even if the key shows blank....

And get int always returns 1 when the key is blank...
