just felt like showing my appreciation and work aswell with playmaker, to also showcase it's possibilities, i was a newbie some months ago and today i've completed my first multiplayer game

hi guys, so i finally figured out a problem to my photon issue, i needed each player to individually have their own bullet, e.g player1 to shoot player1 bullet and player2 to shoot player2 bullet.

this is great, but setting the tags for my players is the issue, as each client handles their management differently.

my initial method,
get number of players in room (maximum players = 2), this is an int variable

[int compare]
if [number of players in room] is equal to one,
set tag to player1,

else if [number of players in room] is greater than one,
set tag to player2,

This works great on the master client because we have to wait for player2 to join, but player2 immediatey sets all instances of players to player2 tag which causes it not to work properly.

is there a way i can get the other player instance, so i can easily set the tag.

hi guys, im working on a huge project and i'm very skeptical about using player prefs because i heard it's very easy to hack, i would really love to know if there's an alternative to playerprefs as i've been using playerprefs for all my projects but this is different. it's a game for mobile btw.


PlayMaker Help / Photon position sync lag

Hi guys, so everything seems to be working great with photon, however i've bumped into a small issue,i have my players shooting at each other over the network and it works great, but traditionally with multiplayer games, position synchronization always has a minor lag, so when my player moves forward while shooting he shoots him self over the network but not locally, any ideas on how to solve this problem ?

hey guy,

i keep getting this error whenever i try to set sprites to a gameobject's image component,

i have an array of type "object" and i'm setting the sprite as object because there's no sprite variable so that works, but when i get to setting the sprite with the "set ugui sprite action " this error pops up.

InvalidCastException: Cannot cast from source type to destination type.

hi guys, i'm building a game with photon and i keep getting this error

The observed monobehaviour (PlayMaker Photon Proxy) of this PhotonView does not implement OnPhotonSerializeView()!

so far nothing has been affected and i believe it's because i'm scripting a little bit, i'd just like to know what this means. thanks!

hi guys, please i'm very new to ufps.

all i'm trying to do is play an animation when the enemy is hit but i can't seem to find any action for this, i've tried to drag scripts from the enemy object but i could't find any function relating to this.

is there anyway to detect when my enemy just got damaged.

heyy guys, so i've been on photon for over 24 hours and i'm finally getting a hang of it however there's an issue i just noticed, whenever i restart level to load game it works fine but as soon as i leave the room and reload my menu, photon remains in PHOTON / CONNECTING STATE, it somehow loses connection and refuses to reconnect. i would appreciate any help while i'm still trying to solve this issue

hi guys, i'm curious to know if behaviour designer is capable of a lot more than the already built in playmaker AI which seems to be very broad, i've been working with playmaker for sometime now and the AI hasn't really been an issue but behaviour designer looks like some next level stuff but so far with the tutorials i've seen playmaker is capable of everything, i'm ready to invest in this asset but i'm a bit skeptical and curious to know if any playmaker user has found it extremely useful and worth every penny

hi Jean, I never really got a response on the unet function "OnstartLocalplayer" which would enable me activate components or functionality that should only be active for the local player, like cameras and input. or is there an alternative to this action
