Hello everyone,

I encountered some unexpected behavior when adding a new action with a mouse double-click from the Action Browser.

If you add an action while another action in the current state is selected the new action will be created above the selected action.

If you add an action while no other action in the current state is selected the new action will be created after all actions at the end.

That makes perfect sense.

But there is one case where no action is selected but the action will be created at the topmost position before all other actions.

To reproduce this case you have to delete an action. Now you can see there ist no other action selected anymore. But if you insert a new action it will be created at the top. If you click with your mouse on a free area below or inbetween other actions before creating a new action, the new action will be inserted at the end of the list. It seems there is a selection issue going on in the background not visible for the user. That makes this behavior hard to understand.

A re-use of the "Close Window After Adding Action" preference seems reasonable to me. But even if this option is enabled the user should be able to clear the filter with Escape, before closing the window.

Hm... But there is another problem. If the user just wants to close the window without clearing the filter because he wants so use it again soon, he needs to close the window with the mosuse.

Does that sound like a good compromise? I'd like to avoid another setting if possible...
Sounds great and as a good compromise for me. But I can't speak for the people who use the Action Browser as popup window.

Unity is working on a solution for keeping changes made in Play Mode.
It's called "Save Play Mode Changes" on their roadmap.

If they release this option PlayMaker could use it somehow I think.

Hello everyone,

I noticed that the custom tooltip text of variables isn't shown in the Inspector, if the "Inspector" option is checked.
This would be really helpful. Now we have to navigate to the PlayMaker window and then to the variables tab to get the info.

Hello everyone,

it happend to me mutiple times that I hit Escape after searching for some terms to clear the filter and start a new search quickly. But you all know what happens if you hit Escape in the Action Browser. :o
Hitting Escape in the Event Browser or Global Browser does clear the filter.

I've attached the Action Browser in my Unity layout. So in this case I have to open and attach the window again.

I would like to request a new tiny option available in the settings menu of the Action Browser.
Something like "Clear Filter On Escape" instead of closing the window would be nice.
But according to user experience it would be more sensible to change the current behavior so the filter is cleared by hitting Escape by default like it does in the Event Browser or Global Browser. An option "Close Window On Escape" would make more sense.

What do you think? Sounds useful to me.

Thank you for your answer djaydino.

You can find these actions after installing ES2 and activating the PlayMaker actions.

If someone run in the same issue here is the link to the topic on the ES2 forum PlayMaker Actions missing Finish();

djaydino is right, Finish(); isn't called in these actions.

PlayMaker Help / [Easy Save 2] State doesn't fire FINISHED [SOLVED]

Hello everyone,

I bought PlayMaker and Easy Save 2 and i'm really fascinated by all the possibilities.
They work really well together.

But if I add the ES2 actions Get Folders or/and Get Files to a state to feed arrays with all files and folders, the FINISHED event isn't fired anymore. I need to use Next Frame Event to get to the next state.

But why is this? Is it maybe an issue or am I doing something wrong?
