Share New Actions / Blendshapes and Playmaker 1.9.0.p16[SOLVED]
« on: July 13, 2019, 11:35:50 AM »
Hello all,
I didn't see any blendshape action in Playmaker 1.9x
Are the "Blendshapes Actions" listed on the wiki as "BlendShapes
Actions....for the skinned mesh blendshape system in Unity 4" working in Unity 2018 with Playmaker 1.9.0.p16?
I know I could use the Ecosystem Browser but to check for updates, but I am trying to minimize how many install and setup steps my students have to do.

Thanks for any replies,

Okay I did figure out the the standard "ADD-ONS" do install in the Free Student Version. I did not check the publishing features yet but I'm guessing it will work.

But the current free student version is listed as 2017, anyone install it in Unity 2018?

General Discussion / Free Student version questions

Hello Playmaker team
I'm a teacher developing a online video game design course and I noticed that there is a free "limited" student version of Playmaker (it doesn't let you use custom actions.)
I have some questions which I have not seen answered here.

1) Is the Free Student version still available (for Unity 2018)?
2) Are the regular "ADD-ONS, Unity Action Packs" (Free Actions Packs for core Unity functionality) usable in the free student version? It's a bit confusing since they are listed in a different category and on a different page as the Custom Actions.
3) Are there any other limitations that I should be aware of?

I know there is a discounted full feature edu(student) license which I still might include in the course, but the course I'm developing will run online (asynchronously) so this licences is a bit problematic.

PlayMaker Help / itweening sprite to uGui image
« on: February 09, 2016, 05:27:49 AM »

I did search for this but either it's not a topic or I don't understand the replies so sorry if I missed this, but here is my problem.

In my simple 2d game I have a 2d sprite that needs to move to the position of a UI-Image during runtime (so the position of the UI-image in relation to my Main camera during gameplay), but what ever actions I use either the sprite moves to the position of the UI-image in the Scene view, the lower left corner of the canvas, or a random position.
The UI-Image is parented to a Panel, which is parented to a Canvas (set to screen space) so a basic setup with the Panel and Ui-Image in the upper left corner.

I tried the "ScreenToWorldPoint", "WorldToScreen" actions as well as the "Rect Transform Screen Point to World Point", and "Rect Transform World to Screen Point" and at this point I'm pretty confused with all the World, Screen, Local, Camera space options, but I'm pretty sure I need to store the UI-Image's position as a vector3 or vector2 variable and then tween my sprite to it. Any help would be welcome.

you may also use a Int variable on wich you'll add or substract 1 when you clic on the button or do the action,
and use it as ID with a 'Array list Get'

So this is an alternative to using my "reset to zero" to handle the first click problem or does it relate to the main problem of clicking twice? Guess I ask to many questions in the same post :)

PlayMaker Help / Array Maker - Array List Get Next and Get Previous issue
« on: January 30, 2015, 05:03:39 AM »

I have an "Play Maker Array List Proxy" that I add a set number of game objects manually before runtime. In this FSM it's 2, in another it may have 4 or 6 etc...

I'm using a get key down action to toggle through the array. It works in the middle of the array but...

The problem is that currently I have to press twice to update the game-object variable when going from the end of the "Array List Get Next" to the "Array List Get Previous", or the end of the "Array List Get Previous" to the "Array List Get Next."

Too complicate matters I use "Array List Get" at the beginning of the FSM to get data from the first game-object variable for another purpose so when I start the list I have to use a variable that I reset to zero after the first next loop or I will miss the first click as well. This seems to work but maybe there is a better way?

I have the "Array List Get Next" feeding back into itself the a "Finish parameter" transition so I can cycle past the last index  but the "Array List Get Previous" won't work in the same manner and the "Finish parameter" has to act like the "Loop Parameter" or the "Array List Get Previous" will get stuck. Is this correct?

This is driving me mad, can anyone help me with the logic here?

Thanks in advance, Brian
