This is the conclusion of my research as well, until Parse decide to support Push Notification for Unity maybe...I am looking forward to it

Indeed, I just asked the developper of this plugin about the push notifications functionalities, his answer :
"Currently You can get only device id for push notifications using plugin.
This device id can be used on your server to send push notification on device."
 
It means you won't be able to send a push notification straight from the plugin.
You need to develop a server for this. Do you have any experience with that aspect ?

There is this plugin that looks interesting, obviously no playmaker actions:

Hi,

did anyone try to send push notifications ? It seems god damn complex.
I was wondering if anyone ever succeeded and how to approach it, especially with an application totally built in playmaker.

Maybe there are other ways in a turnbased multiplayer game to update your opponent that it is his turn to play ?

Edit: does the Parse actions allow to send push notifications ?

Yes,
I subscribed to the Photon Turnbased google group,
but with playmaker actions I don't think I will be able to do anything with it....
I know Google Play Game Service has something similar, but it is limited to google users....so I am not sure if it is an option and again no playmaker actions for the Turnbased functionalities.

Hi Jean,

I have been working on other aspects of my game, but something just hit me.
It seems to me that turnbased is impossible to do with Photon Realtime at all, since photon instantiate requires both users to be connected. If one leave the room the game can't instantiate on the missing player side, am I right ?
It seems to me that it needs to be all done in Parse.
What do you think  about this ?

Hi,

I didn't see any android native plugin for playmaker.
So if this is really the case it would be nice to add this to the trello.

I know there is a thread about his iOS Native Plugin, but I am not sure what is the state of his actions.
I sent him a mail as well, requesting a ETA for any eventual work on the Android plugin and with a link to the thread concerning the ios set of action

hi,

when going multiple time through the same array with the Get Next action I get twice the last item. I tried only with GOs.
Is there a reason for this behavior ?

I did look at the demo, and I understand the IsMine action , but somehow I didn't see how it would apply to my project because my objects can be instantiated at different moment and has to be treated differently each time, but I guess I can pass a string to help trigger a different set of actions on the object.

I think I have an idea how to work it out now.

When I instance (multiple) object(s) across the Photon Network, how can I store the newly instanced GameObject in a variable on the other player side as well (so I can add it to an array on the second player side as well ) ?


Btw did you find a solution to have offline mode ?

Why would that take 100 frames ?
Each state isn't supposed to take one frame, isn't it ?
