PlayMaker Help / One FSM updates all of the same type FSM in scene?

Can you have an FSM like a prefab so if you update it, all other of the same fsms in the scene will auto update? I try to have a manager if several game objects need the same fsm. But sometimes it seems the easiest just to have a list of game objects all use the same fsm. If I make a change i need to go manually through and delete old fsm for every object and copy paste new updated fsm. How can I simplify this? Please help. Let me know if this is a confusing question. Thanks

How would you make a 2d platform so player jumps through bottom and lands on it? My idea is to have a trigger above platform if player enters trigger and stays, box collider activates under its feet. Is that logic too convoluted?

Any ideas on better solution? Thanks

Hi, I'd like to know if there's a way to test a variable in a script on the same object. Some help would be nice. The Send message only lets me run a function. I just want to test a bool from a script.

PlayMaker Help / click/drag to rotate sphere with inertia?

Could someone point me to an action or tutorial about this? I'd like to click and drag the mouse to rotate game object. When mouse is released the GO keeps going with inertia. Thank you for any ideas. :)

PlayMaker Help / Right click to change state event not working

First of all I rebooted. Have I hit some setting? I create a state (CNTRL Right mouse click) Then I can right click to choose an event. That works fine but i can't right click on the event under the state name. Rather I can't get a menu to pop up to change the event flow thingy. Is this a bug? If so i'll send a bug report. Thanks!

Android Help / Touch Object Event (TouchMoved) too sensitive

I have a Touch 2d Object event going on. If you tap the object with TouchBegan + TouchEnded it spins ; if you swipe it with TouchMoved, it rotates. the problem with the action is that the touch moved is super sensitive so when i'm trying to tap if my finger is moving at all it thinks it's moving. I'm wondering if there is a way to tune the move distance bias or any other ideas on how to make the TouchMoved less sensitive. I'd use the Swipe Gesture Event, but i need it to only work on the object.

The sprite color alpha is set to 0 to start. It seems pretty straight  forward but it's not working.

Any ideas on how to make a rotation control so if you click and drag on a circular game object,  it will rotate the game object in the direction you drag?

PlayMaker Help / Using "Look At" action with Unity 2d [SOLVED]

Hi, I'd like to use "look at" with unity2d on a sprite. The regular Look At Action flips my sprite 90 degrees so it's just a line in the 2d view, because -Z is up in 2D space instead of Y. I wish I could get it to recognize the forward direction as Y instead of Z.
Target Position or Up Vector doesn't help. It's confusing. Not sure this is possible with the current action. Any ideas would be great. Let me know if you need more info to help. Thank you.  :-\

PlayMaker Help / [SOLVED] Get Animator Current State Info

Hello,
 I'm using the Mecanim add-on for PM. The state, Get Animator Current State Info, has an option under results for Name. When I run this, it just returns the name of the layer, which in this case is Base Layer. I'm trying to get the State name and I can't figure out how.

I also tried Get Property, but i can't get a hold of the Animator this way. Just Animation which doesn't seem to work if i have clips in the Animator window.

Very confused. TLDR: I'd like to get the State name in the Animator and store as string,  but cant figure it out.

Hello,

Using mouse pick 2d which only takes vector 2 var for the "store point". Then I'd like to set the position of the 2d object but Set Position only takes Vector 3 var. What's the workaround for this?

Hello,

I'm combining 2d sprites and 3d mesh game objects. I need the sprite to render in front of the 3d mesh even when the sprite is behind it.

After doing some research, I've determined that I can set the sorting layer of the mesh. The sprite renderer has a sorting layer by default in the inspector, but the mesh does not, so you have to set it by a script.

I tried Set Property and got the renderer > sorting layer and set it to be the same name as the sprite renderer. Then I set the order behind the sprite. This didn't work. Please help.
