Mac Trackpad Support[SOLVED]
« on: March 21, 2015, 03:38:03 PM »
I've noticed that Playmaker is much less trackpad friendly than it is mouse friendly, at least on a Mac. Two finger dragging just zooms in and out, which emulates a scroll wheel, but is not actually the standard behaviour for this gesture on MacOS. And there seems to be no key that can be held down to pan in the absence of a middle mouse button, meaning one has to madly claw at the scrollbars to get around.

What I'd expect, based on other trackpad-enabled apps:
  • Two finger dragged = pan.
  • Two fingers pinch in/out = zoom in/out.

I'm not sure of the limitations of the Unity Editor in this regard, but such gesture support would definitely make for an improved experience when away from my full workstation with just a laptop and no peripherals.

Hi,

it's in the PlayMaker Preferences settings.

Graph View/Scrolling:Mouse wheels Scrolls Graph View

I turn this on and then I can pan with two finger drag.

For the zoom, press cmd + two finger drag and you are good to go.

 Bye,

 Jean
