VertexPosition in Raycast

I've been thinking about some projects that could dig and carve the terrain.
I think it would be cool momentarily grab the vertex where the Raycast this targeting, save a arraylist and then use the Set Vertex Position to dig or lift the object.
Sera that you guys can make an action like that for me please?
