Camera stage detection

This is an issue I've encountered a couple of times. I have the Player camera (the camera the follows the in-game action,) is parented to the player character, but at varying times the camera will move off the stages and show the game space behind it. It's not a major issue I guess, but is there a way to keep the camera and related objects from moving too far off the stage?  Enclosed is a screen of the issue.
