How do I add a new option to a UGUI dropdown menu?

I can call a method to clear the options but cant figure out how to add a line. Anyone done this before please?

I should add that I've tried using the drop down add option action but it doesn't let me add options dynamically. Could anyone help please?

I just tested and it seems to add them (on my project)

Can you give some more info/pictures/video to show your problem?
