Align Angle of a game object to a normal surface

Hi  what I'm trying to do is to align a game object to a normal for example I did a cover system for character he is taking the rotation of the game object for  he is cover  but it work only on flat shape like cube wall.   if the shape would be curved like a cylinder for example my character will still go streat 

How do take the normal of the object  to align himself on the cylinder of the transform so i can face the normal ........

 I don't know if I made myself clear i want also to use thos for climing on uneven wall  ? I did not want to ask this question on the forum because I thought you already answer.
