Help with Camera clipping through walls
« on: June 15, 2018, 01:16:12 PM »
So I've seen a few topics on this and some responses say use a Raycast bit no further explaination.

Can someone help me with this please?

If you're creating a third person or first person game, just use cinemachine. Saves a lot of headaches, and it's free.

If you're doing 2d, I would just buy Pro Camera 2D. I can't tell you how much that helped me since it came with custom Playmaker actions.

Thanks for that. I've just watched the first tutorial video for it and it seems like it's mainly a cinematic camera, is it also a playable camera?

Yea, just use the free look camera to orbit. Just use the camera collider extension, and you can set the collider radius and all that good stuff. It takes a good while to go through everything cinemachine has to offer, but it's my go to tool for cameras.
