Build Report problem
« on: July 18, 2018, 01:05:45 AM »
Hi All,

Following up my previous post, I'm still having trouble stripping my build file size.
I have run an editor report after a build, please see enclosed screenshot.
The weird thing is the sum of individual proportion is not equal to 100%, however it says the complete size 1803.2 is 100%.There is around 33% proportion is missing and I have no idea what's that could be, and whether I can clear it to reduce the file size.Is there anyone has run into the same problem before? Please help.Cheers,M

I use the asset called build report tool https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/utilities/build-report-tool-8162 it has helped me understand more about the build and whats being included.

I found that having artwork stored in a 'Resources' folder caused my app to bloat in size. Make sure you remove any unused files from these folders.

Well obviously everything that is left unused should be removed for the build.

If you can shell out a few bucks Asset Hunter 2 is a good investment for reducing build size.
