Connecting/Sync Two or more GameObjects with Animation?

Hello,
I want to know the best way to do a transition animation?
I only find one way by combining Timeline animation, but the animation getting messed up when I copy the mounting device & change the place.

This transition animation will be useful to pick a weapon, open a door, grab the cliff ledge, pickpocket the NPC, pick up a box, and so on. Everything is an animation interaction of two GameObjects.

Is there a way to make it directly by using the Animation editor?
Because the animation needs to work correctly in different places. (Ex: When the player approaching the mounting device from the left or right direction.)


Please share if you know how to do it.
Either for 2D or 3D game method is fine.
