Playmaker redistribution options

Hi Jean,

I would like to include a small game demo scene in an upcoming asset store release I am currently building with playmaker. Is there any way to convert playmaker scripts to a version that I can distribute without violating T&C's?

Any help greatly apprecitated.

Hi.
As long as you don't include playmaker itself you should have no problem.
You can include custom actions etc.

Also you will need to mention that Playmaker is required to use the asset.

as without playmaker you wont be able to play the scene and will give errors.

Thanks for the reply but what I'm asking is, is there anyway to publish an asset, coded with playmaker, without needing pl ayamker installed or if I wanted to distribute code, would I have to pay a coder to rebuild so it's original?

Is there anyway of locking or obfuscating playmaker code for asset store submissions?

Hi,

no, you can't, PlayMaker doesn't produce any scripts, PlayMaker is required to execute any fsm that you have used in your scenes.

Yes, if you want your asset to not required playmaker, then you can't use any playmaker fsm, you will need to switch to regular scripting. There is no in between unfortunatly.

what is your asset? is it already on the asset store?

I'm building a game for inclusion in an advertising SDK. Not released yet, so will need to pay for someone to recreate functionality.
