Is it possible to use an action or call to trigger a button w/out clicking on it?

Yes, but not triggering the button, but whatever the button triggers. How depends on your setup. You could send the same events. Or invoke the method etc.

If you mean when you just go over it with your mouse, then look to the pointer actions
