I'm pretty sure you need to take that up with Unity.
The Unity guys even made a post about refunds on the Asset Store.

I doubt you'll get a refund, but you can always try.

Actually you need to contact the seller of asset for a refund, if the 2 parties disagree then unity will jump in.

I had a case with my Playmaker Samples as the guy wanted to use a sample on his project and just moving it to his project it gave lots of errors (which is normal)
its clearly stated that they are samples and not templates in the description.

After the disagreement, unity contacted me/us and evaluated the situation.
Then i got a message that i could make the final decision as in my case i had the right to decline the refund.
