Best Pooling System available for Playmaker?
« on: October 14, 2020, 03:46:20 AM »
Hello,

Can somebody recommend a pooling system that includes Playmaker actions, one that is supported on the Unity store?

I was looking at Pool Boss, Pooly (unsupported) and a couple of others. Pool Boss seems okay, but if there are any recommendations I'd love to know.

Many thanks.

J.

Hi.
There is a free package on the Ecosystem Called 'Pooler' which can handle basic pooling fine.

In our game we use Lean Pool.
It does not have Playmaker Actions, but i do have a action set on my 'Third party asset actions for PlayMaker'

if you search 'pool playmaker' you will find a few other ones.

Yes, I'm currently using the Pooler from the Ecosystem, I just want to explore other options and see how much more control I can have over pooling clones.

Thanks.

Something I didn't expect with the Pooler that I'm using at the moment, is after a clone is destroyed (destroy self), when it's spawned again, the States and Actions that were active at the moment of 'death', continue from the same moment at re-spawn.

I'm trying to work out how to re-set all variables of a clone so no matter how many times it re-spawns, it always starts fresh.

Know what I mean?

Pooler is blah.

Pool Boss and Pool Kit are the best, they both have PM actions.
Available for Playmaker work
