Purchase Question (Unity 4)[SOLVED]
« on: November 12, 2012, 04:44:03 AM »
Hi, I'm considering to purchase playMaker but I'm unsure if I should wait for Unity 4 to be released. If I buy it for Unity 3.5 will I be entitled to a future releases of playMaker?

Thanks.

Hi,

If you don't have Unity 3.x Pro, I would definitely wait and get Unity 4 pro, now you can always get the Unity 3.5 free edition and start with this.

I don't think PlayMaker officialy support Unity 4 but it does work yes. I would in all cases simply get the open beta for Unity 4 and test.

I don't know if a new license for playmaker will be required for Unity 4.

bye,

 Jean

I am currently using Unity 3.5x and was considering buying playMaker and that why I'm asking if I bought it if I would be entitled to all future releases including releases for Unity 4.

All 1.x updates will be free, and we plan on fully supporting Unity 4 :)

Its official. Unity4 pro has rolled out.  Now the Big Q.  is   .... when is it safe to make the great leap ?

Being that I really dig PlayMaker, is it best to hold off for a month or two ..... or,  jump in & provide feedback to PlayMaker when I run into PM related issues ?  (if any)

EDIT- Well I couldn't wait.. & from what I've experienced to date,  so far so good.. no issues with PlayMaker.. runs well, I even imported other actions and they all run fine in Unity4.
